Woman Who Remembers Beauty Even in the Dark

She learned the dark
was not an enemy,
but a room where truth speaks softly.
While others rushed to light the candle,
she sat long enough
to hear the shape of her own breath,
to feel beauty move without being seen.
She remembers
that beauty is not fragile.
It does not shatter in sorrow.
It does not flee when grief enters the room.
Beauty bends.
Beauty waits.
Beauty learns the language of shadow.
She teaches this—
not with sermons,
but with hands steady enough
to hold what aches
without trying to fix it.
She shows others
how to cradle their tenderness
like a bowl that has known fire
and still holds water.
She says:
You don’t have to be hard to survive.
You don’t have to be bright to be whole.
There is a way to carry light
without blinding yourself.
There is a way to love what hurts
without breaking open.
She remembers.
And because she remembers,
others begin to believe
they can, too.

Say a prayer for the week ahead. Practice self care all day. Don’t even think about pouring into anyone else if your cup is already empty.

Think about “What can I do today that’ll enrich and make my tomorrow better. Or make the entire week better. Maybe improve the month, the rest of the year, or the rest of my life.”

It could literally be a small but powerful step that positively changes the trajectory of your life… sometimes it’s really just that simple.
