ACQC-Education and Prevention Department The mission of the Education and Prevention Department is to prevent HIV//STIs/chronic illnesses and promote health& wellness in the communities we serve.

The mission of the Health Education and Prevention Department at ACQC is to prevent HIV/AIDS/STIs and promote health and wellness in the communities we serve. This is accomplished by providing health education and intervention services using a harm reduction approach, in a friendly, respectful, and culturally sensitive environment. This department provides the Queens community with structured interventions approved by the AIDS Institute, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Department of Health , Bureau of Maternal and Child Health (DOH) and Public Health Solutions, Inc. (PHS). The programs available at ACQC through the Health Education and Prevention Department are:

• ADOLESCENT/ LGBT & HETROSEXUAL YOUTH PROGRAMS
• C.A.P.P. PROGRAM
• LATINO PROGRAM
• FAR ROCKAWAY ADULT PROGRAM
• POST INCARCERATION
• MSM OF COLOR
• YOUTH DROP-IN CENTER
• LGBTQ HEALTH IN QUEENS
• RAPID HIV TESTING
• HEPATITIS C TESTING
• STI TESTING
• FOOD PANTRY

Additionally, the ACQC Health Education and Prevention Department provides the following services:
• Health education presentations and workshops (Bi-lingual)
• CHAT (Community HIV/AIDS Training)and other off site trainings
• Outreach for the Community at large
• Targeted on line outreach
• Referrals
