You don't have to have a visual disability to be Disability Strong. What disability do you have and how does it make your life challenging? Me personally, I was born with my disability. I was born with Spina Bifida Mylomeningocele. Meaning my spine was open where my L4L5 vertebrae was supposed to be. Am I was born with a shiny which is a tube that drains fluid from my head to my stomach. Called Hydrocephalus. Water on the brain. I created disability strong to debunk the stigma disabled people are lazy, don't work, and live like everyone else. I'm Disability Strong Are You? Slogan: Strength knows no limitations. We may do things differently or need assistance to do them, but being disabled doesn't make us weak. Those that physically can't work help too. I want the world to see us as the same as everyone else. And for people to realize everyone on this earth has a disability in one way or another. Because we all have something we need help to do. Join me in celebrating our disabilities because without them we aren't who we are. I want this site to be for everyone to help each other get help for some of the problems we may have. Someone else may have figured out a way around your problem and give you and answer how to get past it. No mean posts, no name calling. Not only is this a place to discuss the problems your disability causes. It's also a place to discuss ways your disability has helped you. Thank you for your participation.

Growing up or if you still are growing up did you know anyone with a disability to look up to that when you saw them or talked to them made you feel better about your future? Mine was Physocist Stephen Hawking.

Anyone following I need to get this out to more people that can benefit from it. Please share with anyone you know experiencing a permanent or temporary disability. Let's help those struggling, realize it's okay and how we Disabled Strong be there for those looking to become Disability Strong! I remember how it felt not to be.

What's on my mind this New Year? With how far we are in being productive in this world, why isn't it discussed in school history how people with disabilities have helped this country get ahead. Knowing of successful disabled individuals would help future disabled children or newly disabled see how they can succeed.

What else is on my mind, if you're disabled or have been temporarily talk about your challenges and how you overcome them. Or if you have a complaint about something involving your disability you need help with, put it here for us to try to help.

This man is an example of Disability Strong!

Unfortunately, I woke up today feeling worse.
I went to the ER and got checked out just to make sure that pneumonia isn’t setting in.
Doc said that my lungs don’t look concerning, but doubled my antibiotic since I’m still running a fever and have terrible congestion.
This flu is no joke! 😷☹️
