Wrapping up our meet the team - and last up is me! This month is the 5 year anniversary of the opening of Centered Minds and I can’t believe how fast it’s gone by. I’m so grateful for this practice, and all the other great therapists on this team - and for everyone who has entrusted us to be a part of their life! Thanks to all of you.
If you’re interested in scheduling an appointment with our team, or would like to learn more about , visit our website at www.centeredminds.com or send us an email at office@centeredminds.com.
More about me below 👇🏻
What do you love about your job?
I say all the time (sorry for all of you that have already heard this) that I have a super unfair advantage in life in that I get to do this work. I spend my days talking to people and hearing our shared fears, experiences, etc. There’s so much freedom in knowing what a shared experience life is and I’m so grateful for it.
Favorite hobbies when not working?
I spend most of my time with my husband, our 5 kids and our 4 (yes, 4. long story) dogs. I also love to read, live music and concerts, cooking and baking and Peloton. This year I’ve found a love of running and I’m having so much fun training for my first marathon this fall!
Best advice you’ve ever received?
In undergrad we were talking about career plans with our stats professor (Dr. Wolf at ECSU, IYKYK) and I casually mentioned some worries about affording grad school and continuing on. I already had two kids at the time and school had been an uphill journey for me as a working mom also in school full time. When he heard this he said, “You keep going. If you have to sell what you own, if you have to take every loan they’ll give ya or sell a kidney, you just don’t give up and you figure it out and you do it.” He’s since passed away, but was an encourager even through grad school and I’ve never regretted taking his advice!
