Hello everyone! I am writing to you from sunny Denver, CO where I am attending the Society of Cannabis Clinicians annual educational conference. I am learning LOTS of great information that I will be bringing back to all of you!

At the same time, I am writing with some frustrating news. On Tuesday, October 22, the SD Medical Cannabis Oversight Committee met and had an agenda that was (in my opinion) not appropriate for this committee. The committee chair, Rep Josephine Garcia (R-Watertown) brought in many out of state speakers opposing cannabis, and essentially, once again, attempting to lay the groundwork to abolish the SD Medical Cannabis Program. If you haven’t heard about this, the article in this link will give you more details. As always, I will keep you updated regarding any political happenings that you should be aware of.
