Hello everyone! I am writing to you from sunny Denver, CO where I am attending the Society of Cannabis Clinicians annual educational conference. I am learning LOTS of great information that I will be bringing back to all of you!

At the same time, I am writing with some frustrating news. On Tuesday, October 22, the SD Medical Cannabis Oversight Committee met and had an agenda that was (in my opinion) not appropriate for this committee. The committee chair, Rep Josephine Garcia (R-Watertown) brought in many out of state speakers opposing cannabis, and essentially, once again, attempting to lay the groundwork to abolish the SD Medical Cannabis Program. If you haven’t heard about this, the article in this link will give you more details. As always, I will keep you updated regarding any political happenings that you should be aware of.

Heads up for those seeing us the next couple of days in Watertown. In order to better serve our patients, we are no longer at the Holiday Inn Express in Watertown. We have moved to the Best Western Watertown Inn & Suites, located at 3901 9th Ave SE. (Just East of the interstate by Stone's Truck Stop)
