In large academic settings, professional spaces and places where legislative or large population changes can happen, language as it pertains to stigma matters.
In my own life and content, it feels performative and inauthentic.

the addicts doc

I could list my degrees, my qualifications. But I won’t. If you care, you can read my book. That s**t is in the back “about the author” section. You can find that here https://www.amazon.com/dp/0578580527 and you should definitely read that (the book, not the bio.)

I am an addict. In recovery. Since 2005. Now I treat addicts. And I educate families and communities about addiction. I try to be non judgy. But I am human. I don’t have time for bulls**t. I don’t care for sugar nor for sugar-coating. I like my job and love my family.
