Gambling isn’t just at the casino—it’s in our kids' pockets.

Our staff are at the Problem Gambling Network of Ohio (PGNO) conference this week, and the biggest takeaway is how quickly the line between "gaming" and "gambling" has blurred.

From loot boxes and in-game purchases that mimic slot machines, to tech-savvy teens finding ways onto sports betting apps or prediction sites like Polymarket, the risks are closer to home than many realize.

Parents, take a moment to check in:
-Is your teen spending more on "in-game" items than the actual game cost?
-Are they showing unusual anxiety over sports scores or "bad beats"?
-Have you noticed unexplained charges on your credit card?

If you're worried that gaming has turned into a gambling problem, you don't have to figure it out alone. Anazao Community Partners is here to help families in Wayne and Holmes Counties navigate these challenges with practical, professional support.

Let’s help our kids stay ahead of the game. HolmesCounty

Meet J. Greg Morrison, a steady presence at Anazao for more than 20 years.

Greg has been with Anazao since 2002, starting as a behavioral health educator and now serving as a Community Care Worker. His work takes him into local middle and high schools and out into the community, where he supports adolescents, young adults, and their families.

Greg didn’t set out on this career path—the work found him. His curiosity about people and heart for young people led him to work that helps individuals better understand themselves and build skills to live meaningful lives right now.

Greg often reminds people that therapy isn’t about being told what to do. It’s about having space to be seen, heard, and understood, at your own pace.
Outside of work, Greg has returned to a longtime passion: making music. Writing, recording, and performing again has been a full-circle joy for him.

We’re grateful for Greg and the care he’s been bringing to our community for over two decades.
