Whit's End Community Place Inc.

Whit's End Community Place is a non-profit, 501c3, cancer resource foundation that provides FREE Cancer support services at Wooster Community Hospital.

Our mission is to offer assistance and aid to individuals affected by cancer through:

- Offering emotional assistance to patients, families, caregivers, and survivors throughout the entire journey - from diagnosis to treatment, long-term recovery, survivorship, and advanced disease.
- Providing practical education about treatment expectations, managing treatment side effects, coping with the difficulties of cancer, and transitioning to life as a survivor.
- Inspiring hope by sharing the collective strength of those who have previously confronted these obstacles.

Whit’s End Community Place is expanding its services and seeking licensed massage therapists to join our team!

Whit’s End has a dedicated space at Wooster Community Hospital where massages can be provided, or therapists may offer sessions at their own established location if preferred.

This contracted, paid position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact by providing therapeutic care to cancer fighters, survivors, and their caregivers.

🖤 Black History Month

This month, and every day, we honor the Black leaders in healthcare including physicians, scientists, and advocates whose work has shaped cancer research and care in powerful ways.

Leaders like Dr. Jane C. Wright, a pioneer in chemotherapy treatment, and Dr. Charles Drew, whose innovations in blood banking changed medicine forever, created pathways that continue to impact patients and families today.

At Whit’s End, we believe compassionate care should be accessible and equitable for everyone. We are grateful for those who helped and continue to help move cancer care forward and remain committed to supporting every fighter, survivor, and caregiver in our community.
