We had some friends join the Wildcats on the ice after Friday's 12th Annual Celebrity Sled Hockey Game. People had the chance to try sled hockey, and it was a big hit!

The Wildcats and Junior Wildcats each had another friendly game against Buffalo today to finish the weekend. The Junior Wildcats tied and the Wildcats won 7-5.

In the second games of their friendly matches against the Buffalo Stampede, the Junior Wildcats won 4-0 and the Wildcats finished in a 5-5 tie. Let’s go, Wildcats!

The Walleye won two close ones today beating Nashville and Grand Rapids both by the score of 1-0. Robert was player of the game against Nashville, and Alissa won player of the game against Grand Rapids. Mateo scored the go-ahead goal in each game!

It was a great day for the Wildcats sled hockey teams! The Junior Wildcats and the Wildcats each took on Buffalo Stampede teams today. The Junior Wildcats were victorious, 4-0. The Wildcats won, 6-5.

Getting ready for the 12th Annual Celebrity Sled Hockey Game presented by Weaver Custom Homes at Alice Noble Ice Arena in Wooster! The doors open at 5:30 and the game starts at 6. We have a silent auction, 50/50 raffle and the opportunity to try sled hockey for only $2!

The 2026 District of the Year is Cloverleaf Local Schools! Cloverleaf won the award for their commitment to inclusion, passionate leadership, and superior community engagement. The district is extremely supportive of their program and the league, even as their own program has dealt with multiple recent challenges this year. They supported one team member through a serious illness and another through a season-ending injury, while never missing a game. The leaders of Cloverleaf have embraced OIAS and wheelchair basketball and routinely host neutral site games.

Greg Michalec from Tallmadge is the OIAS 2026 Coach of the Year! Michalec won the award for his ability elevate and empowering the future of athletes. Michalec is the owner of a perfect 35-0 record over his two seasons as Head Coach of the Blue Devils including two of the team’s three league championships. Michalec is a strong developer of players from all levels with an ability to tap into his players’ strengths.
