The following results were first shared in August '15 from Sue, who today says Eric continues to sleep well "except for maybe one night a month - full moon." We're forever grateful that Reliv's nutrition is making this kind of difference!
"I had identical twin sons almost 33 years ago. Both were diagnosed with severe autism, have lots of behavioral issues and have never spoken. Nine years ago my son, Brian, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. We went through a horrible 2+ years of treatments before he passed away in January 2008. If only I'd have known then what I know now... I can't go there as I will drive myself crazy.
My other son, Eric, has had difficulties sleeping for the past 15 years. He also was taking a large amount of psychotropic medications for behavior and sleep. Sometimes we would go days with only a few minutes sleep each day. About a year ago I read all of the amazing stories that Kelly Bodager posted on Facebook from the National Conference regarding Reliv products and how it can help with the symptoms of autism. I contacted Kelly and told her about Eric. I had no idea what Reliv would do for him, or if he would even take it for me. I explained to Kelly that I had lived with Eric being nonverbal for 32 years and that I was ok with that. I just wanted to see if I could get him to sleep better, which I believed would cause him to have a better quality of life. Kelly set me up with Reliv NOW and a bottle of the LunaRich X capsules. The first day it was obvious that he was not going to drink it, which didn't surprise me. I decided to try to mix it in something non-liquid. I settled on strawberry yogurt and he has never refused it once! I started seeing results within a few days. He currently sleeps 8 - 10 hours every night! We have only had about 3-4 bad nights this year that he has been on Reliv - and at least 2 of those has extenuating circumstances - once the electricity was off (he's afraid of the dark) and once my husband was out of town overnight and so it was out of routine for Eric.
Eric attends Nick Amster Workshop and his supervisor has seen so many changes in him - before Reliv he didn't really interact with others at all. Occasionally he would get violent and grab at others. There was never any eye contact. And he was hyper ALL the time. Now he is becoming more social, much less aggressive, lots of eye contact and has started to interact with the other workshop clients. Recently he started working wooden puzzles and using an I-pad! Normally people with severe autism do not want contact with others. Eric craves it. He runs to the bus each morning with a big smile for the driver and aide. He is literally happy all the time. He greets his peers with a handshake every day. He is much calmer and the Reliv products seem to have actually slowed him down where he can process what you are saying to him. Prior to Reliv if I asked him to give me something, he would only understand the "Give Mom" part and just pick up things that were close to him. Now he has started to help with simple tasks at home and is so proud of himself.
Eric has always been very close to my parents. Last fall my 101 (yes, 101) year old grandmother's health started to fail. My parents were with her a lot for about 6 months (in and out of hospital, and a nursing home) before her passing in April, consequently Eric didn't see much of them between Christmas and Easter. They were shocked at the change! He interacted with everyone instead of just running around all the time.
Eric's doctor comes to the Workshop, as she sees many patients who attend there and it’s just easier for her to come there and do appointments instead of everyone coming to her in Akron. The first time we saw her after we started was November. She was curious about the product because she saw positive changes in Eric. Our next appt. was in March. By then, she had done some research on her own and was amazed at the progress Eric was continuing to make. We have seen her more frequently so she can monitor him more closely. She feels that many of her patients with autism would benefit from Reliv. I wish everyone could experience the wonderful benefits of such a fabulous product! The cost of Reliv is such a small price to pay for the rewards we are seeing in Eric."
