An FYI from our friends at 🍕📢 Beginning today, November 1, and for the duration of the government shutdown, anyone can show a SNAP card and receive one free small Medicine Wheel pizza at three American Flatbread locations: Worcester, Brighton, and Rockport, ME. This offer is for takeout only and allows one pizza per party, per day, subject to availability. Takeout orders can be placed in person or over the phone, but this offer does not apply to orders placed via delivery apps. No purchase required.

Congratulations to UMass Memorial Health's Dr. Kavita Babu, recently named Emergency Medicine Physician of the Year by the Massachusetts College of Emergency Physicians!

Honored for her innovative, community-based approach to emergency care, Dr. Babu has redefined the role of emergency physicians, particularly in serving vulnerable populations. She leads efforts in opioid safety, overdose prevention, and mobile addiction care through programs like Road to Care and the Worcester medical respite. This award, presented at MACEP’s Annual Meeting on May 7, recognizes her outstanding contributions to emergency medicine in Massachusetts.
