Pelvic pain, fatigue, and frustration are just some of the tribulations of endometriosis – a medical condition involving the uterine lining growing elsewhere outside of the uterus and attaching to pelvic organs, such as the fallopian tubes or ovaries.

The condition varies for each woman, and a smaller percentage of women experience no symptoms, while others have severe pain that has a huge impact on their lives. This article discusses the diagnosis and treatments for endometriosis, including endometrial ablation.

Surprisingly enough – chronic pelvic pain can be caused by varicose veins. (http://ow.ly/JGkY30jEOOX)

Chronic pelvic pain can be caused by a variety of factors, but a more unusual cause that’s often overlooked is varicose veins, or pelvic congestion syndrome. The condition involves varicose veins that develop in the pelvis. The valves don’t function properly and cause blood to back up in the pelvis, resulting in pain. Certain hormonal medications and therapies can reduce the blood flow of varicose veins. If you have pelvic pain, visit Dr. Halpin to uncover the root cause and find relief.

While pelvic pain and urinary incontinence afflicts many women, this physical therapist says it isn’t talked about enough. Incontinence is more common after childbirth and menopause, but it can occur at any time, often due to a fluctuation in hormone levels and/or weakened pelvic floor muscles. Certain exercises can help strengthen your pelvic floor and improve incontinence and pelvic pain.

As well as exercises and maintaining a healthy lifestyle at home, you should also see an incontinence specialist like Dr. Halpin for valuable medical support and treatment.

You might be pregnant and not even know it…here are 10 signs of an unexpected pregnancy. (http://ow.ly/yj0b30jEOOQ)

Some of the pregnancy symptoms occur due to hormonal changes. Some of the symptoms are similar to premenstrual symptoms for many women, leading them to be dismissive and write off the symptoms as being normal. Signs of an unexpected pregnancy are frequent urination, excess fatigue, an irregular or skipped menstrual cycle, and even slower bowel movements, since an increase in the hormone progesterone slows down the path of food through the intestines.
