Congratulations to Dr Lauren Thamel on receiving Young OD of the Year for Massachusetts. Dr Thamel graduated from the New England College of Optometry with honors in 2021. She then completed her residency in vision rehabilitation at the Jamaica Plain VA, where she developed a passion for helping patients with visual impairments to maximize their independence. She now specializes in low vision care and is accepting new patients. Beyond her clinical excellence, Dr. Thamel is deeply involved in professional leadership. She serves as the Central Massachusetts District Chair for the MSO, contributes as a member of the Membership Committee, completed the AOA Leadership Academy and is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.

Doctors and staff had a great quarterly meeting Wednesday evening at Joey’s Bar and Grill. We strive to always provide exceptional eye care and regularly have team meetings to help us meet this goal. We currently provide routine and medical eye care as well as specialty care services such as vision therapy, dry eye treatments, myopia control, low vision, and neuro rehabilitation.
