Looking for something lighter?

Lightweight breast forms are ideal for post-surgical or leisure wear. Some insurances will cover both a silicone and a lightweight breast form. Contact us to inquire if you are eligible through insurance or self pay!

Comfy Bra or Compression Bra?

These two styles are just a sample of the variety of bras out there for women post-surgery! The relaxed fit and soft material of a comfy bra is great for post-radiation or just lounging around the house. Whereas the compression bra is ideal for women with lymphedema on the chest wall; this type of bra needs to be specifically ordered by the physician.

Introducing the latest closed back in Custom Breast Prosthesis technology! This closed back style is a soft, water/sweat safe alternative to the open or diamond back style in the custom technology.

The Custom Breast Prosthesis is the best non-surgical breast reconstruction option available. If you have had surgery such as a full mastectomy, partial mastectomy, lumpectomy, breast conserving surgery, or reconstruction, a custom-made breast prosthesis could be right for you.

Let's Talk Product!

Here is what we offer at The Women's Image Center for breast prosthesis...

First, a breast prosthesis is made for women post-mastectomy, post-lumpectomy, or failed reconstruction. It can be worn in the pocket of a bra or for certain kinds, directly against the chest wall. At your first fitting, a Certified Mastectomy Fitter will go over the product with you and do a measurement to see what size/fit might work for you! We are here to help you so if you have questions just let one of our staff know how we can help.

Does insurance cover this? Yes insurance covers a standard breast prosthesis and bras! This is a lifelong benefit for you if you have had a cancer diagnosis. However, you may have a cost to you if you have a deductible or out of pocket maximum remaining. We let you know up front as best we can what you may expect!

Types of breast prosthesis:
Full forms and partials are available depending upon how much tissue you have had removed.

Standard breast prosthesis fit directly in the pocket of the bra or within a cover. Whereas a Custom Made Breast Prosthesis fits like a "puzzle piece" directly onto the chest wall.
