On 1️⃣2️⃣th Day of Wellness, we recommend saying YES to a MASSAGE.
While some may think it’s extravagant or nice, we say massage is essential to your physical wellbeing. There are over 600 muscles in the human body and they do more than help us move, they help with balance, posture, our heart to pump and protect the important structures like the spine and bones than live beneath them.
They need lots of love to stay healthy and flexible - and a massage can be one extra part of the equation to keep your body healthy this year 🥰

You didn’t think we would forget this one, did you?
Yes adjustments help with those little aches and pains from poor posture while wrapping presents, and chiropractic care does so much more to help support the overall health and function of the body.
The spine is an information highway between the brain and the body - the back is the way the brain tells the body what to do and vice versa. Misalignments of the spine can be like little traffic jams that impair the function of this information highway and therefore the function of the body. From breathing, to reproduction, to sinuses it all can be connected back to the spine.
Regular adjustments minimize the effect of misalignments (aka traffic jams) and help you feel and be the best version of yourself ❤️

On the 9️⃣th Day of Wellness, we recommend balanced NUTRITION.
We know it can be hard this time of year, but what we put in our body can make a huge impact for our health. We also know that you may not have as much control over food choices during the holidays for yourself and your family.
⭐️ Try to eat something green everyday 🍏🥝🥦🥬
⭐️When plating, try to incorporate at least 3 foods groups to ensure the meal is balanced
⭐️Watch your portion sizes
And remember, all food has nutritional value and a purpose for your body - don’t beat yourself up for make flexible food choices this holiday season 🎄🫶

On the 8️⃣th Day of Wellness, our recommendation is to be mindful of your looking down TOO MUCH while looking at your phone.
We are all guilty of using our phones a little too much, but try to take breaks, minimize the time you spending looking down - especially for growing bodies and little spines - your spine will thank you!

On the 7️⃣th Day of Wellness, we recommend you invest in a quality PILLOW and/or MATTRESS.
While you might think they are all the same, investing in a good quality mattress and pillow is worth the $$$. You spend upwards of 8 hours EACH day laying on them (that’s a whopping 33% or 25-27 years of your life) so making the right choice is essential.
It’s definitely not a one size fits all solution, however, so ask the doctors at your next visit about our specific recommendations. We are happy to help!

Those presents can be heavy (and awkward) so taking an extra second to be mindful of your body, engage your core, and lift with those strong beautiful legs of yours 🦵 🔥 Your spine will thank you, and you wont be in our office for an emergency visit next week 💁♀️

On the 5️⃣th Day of Wellness, our recommendstion is to stay HYDRATED.
Somtimes good health is jsut getting back to basics like drinking enough water - and minimizing alcohol and caffeine. After all, more than 70% of your body is water! And as a chiropractors we have to mention that your spinal discs love it when you stay hydrated so they can better protect and support your spine, just saying 💁♀️
You should try to drink at least half your body weight in ounces daily. And we love a good hydration pack like LMNT or add a slice of you favorite fruit to enhance the flavor.
