Our residents and team members recently returned from a wonderful overnight trip to Oglebay, a Wheeling, WV resort, celebrating the season with a full itinerary of festive experiences.

This year, nine residents and three team members enjoyed a holiday-themed dinner theater performance, followed by a guided bus tour through the renowned Festival of Lights. The group spent the evening relaxing in the beautifully decorated lodge, complete with warm seasonal beverages and time together. The trip wrapped up the next morning with a delicious breakfast buffet before heading home.

This annual tradition continues to be a meaningful way for our community to share time, make memories, and enjoy the magic of the holidays.

Over the past two weeks, our friends from the Roots & Shoots program returned to The Bristol to lead another wonderful hands-on art experience with our residents.

During their first visit, students helped residents design and shape beautiful clay wreaths, using textured tools and lace patterns to create truly one-of-a-kind pieces. This week, the group returned to guide everyone in painting their wreaths in lovely shades of green, adding personal touches and enjoying great conversation along the way.

Next stop: the kiln! Once the wreaths are fired and finished, they’ll be returned to our residents as special keepsakes made with creativity, collaboration, and community.

A heartfelt thank-you to the talented young artists of Roots & Shoots Ohio for bringing joy, learning, and connection into our home.
