Today we wear our shirts from Born Abel (please go to their fb page and give them a follow) to support our co-worker and her family as it's their daughter, Jaelee's, heavenly birthday today.
Jaelee’s life was brief — but it was powerful, purposeful, and deeply loved. Jaelee was born with a complex heart defect called TAPVR. At just one day old, she underwent open-heart surgery, beginning a journey no child should ever have to face — and yet, she did so with quiet strength and unwavering courage.
Jaelee spent 231 days in the CVICU at Children’s Minneapolis, surrounded by machines, medical teams, and the prayers of everyone who loved her. She also faced severe tracheomalacia, which required a tracheostomy, adding another layer to her already complex care.
After everything she endured, her family was given 77 precious days at home — days filled with love, routines, sibling snuggles, and moments that will forever be treasured.
In just 10 months of life, Jaelee underwent 13 surgeries. Thirteen acts of bravery. Thirteen battles fought with grace beyond words.
Jaelee was deeply loved — especially by her big sister, Callee, who adored her with her whole heart. Their bond was beautiful, pure, and unbreakable.
On December 9, 2024, Jaelee gained her angel wings. 🤍
Her life changed everyone who had the honor of knowing her.
From the very beginning — and still today — her family has relied on Psalm 23, trusting in God’s presence through every valley and every moment of uncertainty. Even now, that faith continues to carry them forward.
