Here are some life-saver tips on how to combat the upcoming winter weather!

❄️stuff newspaper into wet boots to absorb moisture quickly!
❄️dryer sheets can quickly remove static and frizz from hair!
❄️spray your shovel with cooking spray to keep the snow from sticking to the shovel!
❄️placing wool or old sweater fabric into your winter shoes can help keep your feet warm!
❄️cover your side mirrors with a plastic bag to avoid ice from forming!
❄️placing high socks over your windshield wipers can save you before a snow storm, if your car is outside!
❄️a few drops of hand sanitizer on your key can help unlock a frozen door
❄️for an icy side walk: mix dawn dish soap, 1 tbsp rubbing alcohol, and a half gallon of hot water and pour over ice!
❄️do it yourself: fire starter: place dryer lint into an empty toilet paper roll!
❄️changing the direction of your ceiling fan can help reduce the amount of cool air!

Christmas cookies 🤝 Healthier

🎄Peanut Butter Blossoms🎄

1/3 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup coconut oil
1 tsp vanilla

*combine these first*

add:
2 cups almond flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt

*refrigerate (30 min). Line a pan with parchment paper, then roll into balls and gently press thumb in middle of each*

Bake at 325 for about 8 minutes.

Last you’ll need 14 Hershey kisses. Unwrap and gently press 1 kiss on top of each cookie and either enjoy or place back in oven for 1 minute. 🎄🍪

Everyone’s favorite holiday drink…maybe? But, that means the healthy version of our favorite is a must have!

LOW SUGAR PEPPERMINT MOCHA 🎄☕️

2 tsp peppermint extract
2 tsp stevia extract or agave
1 tbsp mocha sauce or cocoa powder
2 shots brewed espresso
1 cup milk

Combine everything in a saucepan except the espresso. Heat and stir until everything is combined. Pour over your espresso and top with whipped cream!

With some sickness going around, we should always remember that food is medicine! When used correctly, it can cure us of our illnesses!

In a blender or juicer, add:
2 carrots
1 clove garlic
1 tbsp ginger
1/2 of a whole lemon
2 cups pineapple

Blend until smooth. Take once daily until you run out and have to make more! Stay healthy!🧡

Working out can be challenging in itself. But, combine it with the holidays and it can take the fun out of working out. Thanksgiving is tomorrow, so today’s workout is entirely up to you. Get ready for this one: Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Cinnamon Butternut Squash with Pecans and Cranberries. 🥰

🎄Ingredients (Serves 6)
Roasted Butternut Squash:
❑ 1 1⁄2 pound butternut squash peeled, seeded,
and cubed into 1-inch cubes (Yields about 4
cups of uncooked cubed butternut squash)
❑ 2 tablespoons olive oil
❑ 3 tablespoons maple syrup
❑ 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

🎄Roasted Brussels Sprouts:
❑ 3 cups Brussels sprouts ends trimmed, yellow leaves removed
❑ 3 tablespoons olive oil
❑ 1⁄4 teaspoon Salt to taste
Other Ingredients:
❑ 2 cups pecan halves
❑ 1 cup dried cranberries
❑ 2-4 tablespoons maple
syrup optional

🎄Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400 F. Lightly grease the foil-lined baking sheet with olive oil.
2. Trim ends of Brussels sprouts and remove yellow leaves and slice all Brussels sprouts in half.
3. Peel, seed and cube, into 1-inch cubes, the Butternut Squash.
4. In a large bowl, combine halved Brussels sprouts, cubed butternut squash, 3 tablespoons of olive oil, maple syrup, cinnamon and
salt (to taste), and toss to combine.
5. Place in a single layer onto a foil-lined baking sheet and roast in the oven at 400 F for about 20-25 minutes. During the last 5-10
minutes of roasting, stir/flip them around for even browning.
How to toast pecans:
1. Toast pecans in the preheated oven at 350 F
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. Toast the pecans for about 5 minutes (maybe a bit longer) in the preheated oven at 350 F until they get darker in color.
Assembly:
1. In a large bowl, combine roasted Brussels sprouts, roasted butternut squash, pecans, and cranberries, and mix to combine.
