A post like this feels really odd and I’m fully experiencing imposter syndrome, but here we go.

I am without words honored to have been recognized last night as one of Wilmington’s 100 people in business this year. To me, this signifies that the work we are doing, the care we’re providing and the destigmatization of mental health care is making waves in our community that I love so much. That’s the whole point, to walk people through healing and loving and finding themselves again.

Our mission has always been to provide compassionate, dedicated mental health care and to continue breaking down the stigma surrounding it. This award is a reflection of the heart, dedication, and expertise of our team of therapists who pour themselves into supporting this community every day. They are the best of the best and are so dedicated to their work. I wouldn’t do this work without them.

Thank you, Wilmington, for embracing our mission. And thank you, , for shining a light on us smaller businesses alongside the big players. 🤍

Today marks one year since we went public with our new name and logo and I’m not going to lie - one year ago was one of the most challenging moments of my life.

I didn’t know if we would shut the doors, how we would survive this, how to pivot after being told the name + brand we’ve held onto for years and spent countless hours sharing across Wilmington would have to be no more (see the video pinned in our feed for more on this).

and instead of downfall, we found an empowering group of women who were ready to keep moving forward, an inspiring turnout of small businesses who supported us, whether with a share or with great involvement in this change (shout out and and our lawyers) and friends & family who cheered us through. I was astounded by the support the love.

Love is what moves us forward. It carries us when we don’t know how to keep moving forward. With a lot of faith and a lot of love, Allora is here and it’s better than ever.

We will never take for granted what an honor it is to walk alongside the members of our favorite community in the world on your healing journeys.
