I am incredibly honored and grateful to share that I have been selected as a recipient of the David Baue Scholarship to attend the Funeral Service Women’s Professional Conference through the National Funeral Directors Association.

This opportunity means so much to me — not only as a funeral director, but as a woman passionate about serving families, strengthening our profession, and continuing to grow as a leader. The chance to learn alongside and be inspired by other women in funeral service is truly a gift.

I’m thankful for the mentors, colleagues, and community members who encourage me daily and remind me why this work matters. I’m excited to bring back fresh ideas, renewed energy, and continued commitment to serving the families and communities who trust us in their most important moments.

Thank you to the NFDA and the Baue family for investing in women in funeral service. I’m humbled and ready to learn! 🤍 Sam Thompson
