I'll be honest with you, I don't love EVERYTHING about working in diabetes...

But I do love A LOT about helping people with diabetes.

Just yesterday, I received a message from a client that kept me going.
He was struggling. He wasn't getting a lot of support.

He wrote to me after our first meeting and said he noticed a change in his energy almost immediately. Well, his wife did. For the first time in a long time, he was optimistic about managing diabetes again.

That, my friends, is why I do what I do.
It made me optimistic, too.

Living well with type one diabetes (T1D) is not about perfect numbers. For decades, Gary Scheiner has helped shape how people understand insulin, manage glucose and set realistic expectations.

Drawing on lived experience, clinical training, and a deep commitment to people living with diabetes, Scheiner has built a career rooted in practical guidance, compassionate care, and the belief that no one should have to figure out this condition alone.

So what do experienced users think?

In Episode 75 of Think Like a Pancreas—The Podcast, Gary Scheiner and Diabetech Justin sit down for an honest conversation about using Sequel Medical Technology's Twiist™ pump.

They dig into the Loop algorithm, the 6-hour predictive feature, comparisons to other AID systems, and practical day-to-day realities like alarms and time in range.
