Travel fee update!

I'm still workshopping this, but I feel like it's still pretty fair for the amount of time I'm spending to give massage in the comfort of your own home.

New travel rates are as follows: $1 per minute for as long as Google Maps says it takes to get from my house to yours. Not how long it actually takes with traffic, just the estimate.

Did you know that massage therapists are Hippa compliant? Your personal and medical privacy is protected by law!

With that being said, it actually is very important that you communicate your medical and mental heath to us before the session starts.

This matters for multiple reasons; if there are any contraindications (reasons a massage shouldn't take place, if I should avoid a certain area, or avoid a certain technique), that will help manage the expectations of the massage. Additionally, I'm here to relax you and help the body heal itself. Knowing what your body is going through is key to accomplishing this.

But Mariah, what does my mental health have to do with my muscles? So, so So much. There's a book called The Body Keeps Score (many trigger warnings), but honestly the title says it all.

TL;DR Talk to your massage therapist about your physical and mental well being for the safest, personalized and best results! Thank you!

A pleasant reminder, that although I support s*x workers and wish them the best, I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, and I know what a thinly veiled solicitation looks like.

When a prospective client seems hesitant to give out personal information, asks if I "massage over the sheets" (trying to get the therapist to say things like "of course not, that makes my job more difficult"). And then continuing to ask if I massaged "skin on skin", after I said "yes I do massage over sheets for client comfort and safety ". And following up with, "so you don't massage inner thigh? "

My friend, I do actually do all the things you want. But I Do drape professionally. I work on inner thigh with your hips completely covered, and usually only if there's a reason. What I don't do, is tolerate solicitation.

So Tony the construction worker from Holland, like I told him before I blocked him, we're not a good therapeutic fit, and I hope you find what you're looking for.
