STRESS ISN'T FUN, BUT IT CAN BE MANAGED.
Ideally, weâd all live in a world where stress barely existed â but I havenât cracked that code either.
What I have learned is how to manage my stress in ways that support both my body and my mind â especially while running a business, holding space for clients, and maintaining real-life relationships.
Here are my top 3 go-to tools when stress starts to build:
đŤ Somatic check-ins â I pause and ask: Whatâs happening in my body right now? A few deep breaths, grounding, or a walk can shift everything.
đ˛ Nutrient-dense meals & hydration â When Iâm overwhelmed, I check in with the basics: Have I eaten something nourishing? Am I hydrated?
đą Saying ânoâ early and often â Boundaries are the nervous systemâs best friend. Iâve learned to protect my time without guilt.
Stress is part of life, but it doesnât have to run your life.

Reynelda Jones is the owner and currently the sole therapist of Afd Solution B in Grand Rapids, MI. She is also the content creator of her online Self-empowerment school.
Reynelda is a Licensed Masters Social Worker-Clinical, Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Acudetox Specialist.
As she continues in the field, Reynelda intends to expand the practice to reach more individuals in the community.
