SHREVES, KIMBERLY BROOK
DOVER-Kimberly Brook Shreves, lovingly known as Kim, passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 50, surrounded by her children—both biological and adopted—her beloved fur babies, and her best friend, wrapped in love in her final moments. She was born on June 12, 1975, and was a lifetime resident of Kitts Hummock Beach, Dover, Delaware.
Kim was a deeply loving mother to Alexandria Osborne, James Shreves Jr., and his wife Chey, Michelle Shreves, and Samantha Shreves—and to her cherished fur babies, whom she loved with the same fierce devotion. She was the heart of her family—protective in spirit, boundless in compassion, and endlessly giving.
She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Brandy, Alyssa, Brooke, Aubrey, Reese Jr., Raven, Jensen, and Jared, and her grand fur babies, who all brought immense joy to her life.
Beyond her own children, Kim was a second mom to countless friends of her children, offering guidance, protection, warmth, and unconditional love to anyone who needed it. Many found comfort, safety, and belonging in her presence.
Kim was known for her amazing work ethic and generous heart. Most recently, she worked as a Corporation Assistant with the Division of Corporations for the State of Delaware, where she was respected for her dedication, professionalism, and kindness.
She is survived by her siblings: Cathy Jo Moore, Joseph “Joe” Shahan Jr. (Bonnie), Kathy Marie Drummond (George), Gary Shahan, Robin Lee Hyde (Tom), Amy DeVincentis (Kenny), Robert George Osborne, and Mark Shahan (Macy); along with countless cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved her dearly. She is also lovingly survived by her aunts and uncle: Barbara Mitchell,
Cathy Seeley (Cliff), and Richard Owens (Karen).
Kim was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Shreves Sr.; her brother, Robert Shahan; and her parents, Vicki Sue Osborne and John R. Osborne.

Through every hardship, she continued to fight with grace and strength. Her presence touched countless lives, and her memory will live on forever through those who loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared by the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Kim’s memory to Delaware Hospice, Milford, Delaware, and to the American Cancer Society in support of bile duct cancer research.
