We enjoyed our visit to Southern Pharmacy recently and appreciate working with a local business that does a great job with customer service. We got a very impressive tour of their facility in Wytheville and it was great to learn about their emphasis on safety and efficiency. Thank you for all you do!

We look forward to continuing our partnership with Open Door Community! We'll help place vulnerable people in 10 of the 32 units in the Monroe North Apartments in Wytheville that are under construction on land on North Monroe Street near Food City.

At a groundbreaking event on a brisk April 8 morning, Open Door Executive Director Jordan Stidham described our partnership in positive terms. Mount Rogers has been a "huge partner with us in making sure the most vulnerable get served," he said.

Sen Tim Kaine said the project meets a critical need for affordable housing. As a lawyer he worked on fair housing cases to help people of low and moderate incomes obtain housing. "That's why things like this are so important to me," Sen. Kaine said.

The Monroe North Apartments will feature 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom units. The apartments will have rent and income restrictions, but no age restrictions.

🗣️We appreciate Commissioner Daryl Washington of Virginia Dept. of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) spending the morning with us. He joined us on a tour of two of our facilities in Wytheville and then sat down to learn more about our 31 licensed services. We also enjoyed hearing his thoughts and insights. Thank you, Commissioner Washington!

Real stories. Real support. 🇺🇸

We had a great night at our free Peer Talk for Veterans event. David Yeager shared his story about problem gambling. It opened the door for honest talk and real connection.

There were questions, laughs, and moments that stuck with us. Everyone left with something meaningful - and a stronger sense of community.

We’re grateful for the time spent together, and a big thank you to The Lucky Few for the amazing dinner!

They came, they sponsored, they fished, they caught -- and supported our veterans! Thank you to the hearty souls -- diehards may be more appropriate -- who braved the cold and wind on South Holston Lake last Saturday to support our "Fishing for Vets Tournament."
1st place winner - Jeff Street and Keith OQuinn
Largest Catch - Jeff Street
2nd Place - Hunter Scarberry and Logan Looney
3rd Place & Fly-Fishing Poll Raffle- Jeff Cullop
Holding the big fish are Hunter Delp and our own Anthony Craver.

Special kudos to the Mount Rogers folks who supported by being there. (They may still be thawing out!) Thank you Sandy Bryant, Patty Belcher, Samantha Crockett, Rosanna Fleeman, Lakesha Mayes, and Kayla Fisher!

Today is World Autism Awareness Day -- April is Autism Awareness Month -- and we're highlighting someone who brings a smile to our face every time he shows up for our services. If you need a smile today, check out Emmett's story!

Thank you to Jess and Emmett Kestner for trusting us to provide Applied Behavior Analysis services for Emmett. And we also want to highlight the staff of the Marion, Va., clinic for their work: Christine MacQuarrie, Xavia Barnett, Lakyn Atwood, Meah Hill, and Gracie Odham. Thank you! 🫶🙌

Jess Kestner loves the ABA services her son with autism receives at Mount Rogers because they don't give up on him.
