Hands of Hope Medical Clinic

Hands of Hope Medical Clinic A free medical clinic for uninsured residents of Yadkin County A much-needed new healthcare ministry is right here in our county: Hands of Hope Medical Clinic.

In our economy, more and more working adults cannot afford health insurance. These folks will often put off going to the doctor when they are sick because they know they canโ€™t afford it. Sound familiar?! There are too many stories of folks waiting too long to be seen by a doctor, and then having their condition grow more serious and more costly. This is where Hands of Hope comes in. Hands of Hope Medical Clinic is a volunteer effort of health professionals, non-medical volunteers, businesses, churches, foundations, and other human service agencies whose purpose is to provide free primary medical care and resources to the sick and needy in Yadkin County who are uninsured and unable to afford healthcare from any other source. As God has shown us free grace through Jesus Christ, we want to extend free grace. We are asking for your help in several ways. First, tell people. We want everyone to hear about this. Second, please pray for this ministry. God has already provided many resources to help make this vision possible, but we will need ongoing prayer that this will not only be a service to those in need, but a way to share Christ with those we serve. Finally, you can give. Money is needed for things like prescriptions, supplies, and lab work. We would love for Hands of Hope to be part of your regularly monthly benevolence budget. Of course, one-time gifts are also welcomed as well. We will gladly provide receipts for your tax records, as we are a 501(c)3 charitable organization. Weโ€™re sure you have questions. We have attached a list of frequently asked questions. We welcome the opportunity to share more with you and your congregation or organization. Please feel free to contact us at the email or phone number below. Hands of Hope Medical Clinic Board of Directors

๐Ÿ’™ Movember Spotlight: Prostate Cancer Awareness ๐Ÿ’™

This Movember, Hands of Hope is shining a light on prostate cancer โ€” one of the most common cancers affecting men today.

Early detection can save lives. ๐Ÿฉบ
โžก๏ธ 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
โžก๏ธ When caught early, the survival rate is over 95%.

Thatโ€™s why regular checkups and open conversations with your healthcare provider are so important.

If youโ€™re over 50 (or 40 with a family history), talk to your doctor about a PSA test โ€” a simple blood test that can help detect prostate cancer early.

Letโ€™s break the stigma, encourage routine screening, and support the men in our lives to take charge of their health. ๐Ÿ’ช

Together, we can make a difference this Movember.

๐Ÿ’— As Breast Cancer Awareness Month Comes to a Closeโ€ฆ

As October comes to an end, weโ€™re reminded that breast cancer awareness doesnโ€™t stop here. ๐Ÿ’•

This month has been filled with pink ribbons, stories of strength, and reminders of the importance of early detection and support. But awareness, education, and compassion matter all year long.

โœจ Schedule your mammogram.
โœจ Encourage the women (and men) in your life to get screened.
โœจ Support those still fighting โ€” and honor those weโ€™ve lost.

Together, we can continue spreading hope and saving lives โ€” one conversation, one screening, one act of kindness at a time. ๐Ÿ’—

๐Ÿ’™ October is ADHD Awareness Month

This month, weโ€™re shining a light on ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) โ€” a condition that affects millions of children and adults around the world.

ADHD isnโ€™t about laziness or lack of focus โ€” itโ€™s about how the brain works. With understanding, support, and the right tools, individuals with ADHD can thrive at school, at work, and in life. ๐ŸŒŸ

๐Ÿ’ญ Letโ€™s use this month to:
โœจ Break the stigma and promote understanding
โœจ Celebrate the creativity and strengths of those with ADHD
โœจ Encourage compassion and access to care for all

Awareness leads to acceptance โ€” and acceptance makes all the difference. ๐Ÿ’™
