Massage Therapy is part of the service industry just like getting your hair done, your nails or a facial.

Massage Therapy is also part of the medical community- very beneficial to ones health and wellness.

Being a NO SHOW (even with a reminder notice) is rude, irresponsible and a waste of your therapists, hair dresser or aestheticians time. There is no chance to fill the spot and it’s a loss of income- we have bills to pay as well.

In the five years I have been in business- I haven’t had a NO SHOW policy like most massage therapists do but that will be changing.

I will be investing in a online booking program which will require a credit card to book and will send reminders.

Being nice and flexible gets you some awesome, loyal clients but there are just too many others that take advantage of it and screw you over.

That’s not happening anymore here.

I’m back!!

I am so excited to be in this brand new studio built with love (and lots of sweat😅) by yours truly and my amazingly, talented, hard working father!!

I am still in the East Valley area in Terrace Heights. This is a residential property, small building behind main house with it’s own driveway and parking lot.

I am currently available for appointments Mon, Tues, Thurs, Friday and occasional Saturdays. My rates are still the same but will be raising them January 1st.

My story

My name is Heather Sliger and I grew up in the Yakima, East Valley area. I recently moved back to Yakima after 17 years in Seattle. I have been in the healthcare field for 20+ years, most recently as a Surgical Technologist for 17 years. The last 12+ years of my surgery career was spent at Harborview Medical Center, the only Level 1 trauma center for 4 states. The overall stress of living in an expensive city and working in a trauma environment led me on the path to massage, as it was something I had considered doing as a young adult. I am very thankful for all that I learned as a surgical tech and all the amazing people I met along the way.

Working in surgery has definitely given me a better understanding of the body and what it is capable of tolerating. Through my own personal journey of injuries and stress, I understand pain and discomfort and what it can do to the body AND the mind. I understand chronic pain as I have lived with spinal issues since I was a child after being struck by a car when I was very young to being thrown from a horse when I was 18. I have a long list of injuries as many of us do and have always fought through the pain to keep working and moving on with life.

I am new to the massage field of healthcare. I have so much to learn and could not be more excited to constantly develop my skills as a Licensed Massage Therapist! My philosophy currently is a whole body experience. I enjoy giving a relaxing massage and incorporating some deep tissue where needed. My goal is to get you to relax so your mind and body can connect and begin to heal itself.

I absolutely adore my regular clients and appreciate meeting someone new all the time. I have always been a quiet and shy person, so this has been another side of massage that I love as it helps me grow as a person as well. I appreciate you all taking the opportunity to try out my massage style. I know my massage may not be to everyone’s liking and I am totally okay with that.
