Mid-January Check-In

As January continues, we’re grateful to be supporting NAMI Bucks County, an organization doing vital work to strengthen mental health awareness, education, and community support right here at home.

NAMI Bucks County offers free programs, peer-led support groups, education for families, and advocacy for those navigating mental health challenges. Their work reminds us that no one has to walk this path alone and that compassion, understanding, and connection truly matter.

There’s still time this month to support our service project:
A portion of all Seva sales in January is donated to NAMI
In-studio donations are always welcome
Make a donation directly to to NAMI Bucks at https://namibuckspa.org/get-involved/donate/

We invite you to learn more about NAMI Bucks County, follow their work, and share their mission:

Be kind. Be gentle. Be generous.
Be well and do good work.

Practice, Not Perfection

In the Yoga Sutras, Patanjali reminds us that practice becomes steady through consistency, sincerity, and patience. Not intensity. Not perfection.

As the year begins, we return to the mat not to chase results, but to show up. Some days the practice feels strong. Other days it feels quiet, tender, or uncertain. All of it belongs.

Be well and do good work. This is enough for now.

This January, Seva is honored to support the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

Throughout the month, a portion of all studio sales will be donated to NAMI, alongside in-studio contributions.

NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization, dedicated to building better lives for the millions of people affected by mental illness. What began around a kitchen table in 1979 has grown into a powerful national network providing education, advocacy, awareness, and support right here in our local communities.

We encourage you to follow and support our local affiliate, , and learn more about the important work they do in Bucks County.

Be well. Do good work.

Beginning Without Erasing

There will be no shortage of “New Year, New You” messages this month. At Seva, we believe something different. You are already whole, already worthy, already enough.

The Buddha taught that suffering often comes from grasping at what we think we should be, rather than meeting what is. January invites awareness, not reinvention. This is a time to notice your breath, your body, and your mind exactly as they are.

Seva is a place to reconnect, not to fix yourself but to listen. Be kind. Be gentle. Be generous. The practice begins right here.

Our Winter offering of Reiki Infused Yin returns with Jess Kramer and Reiki Master Eileen Cary. Join us for a two-hour seasonal practice designed to support rest, reflection, and deep nourishment during the most yin time of the year.

We will begin by sharing a cup of tea and a short discussion on the Winter season and its element, water. From there, you’ll be guided into a long, meditative yin practice led by Jess, with Reiki offered throughout by Eileen. The poses will gently target the kidney and bladder meridians, supporting energy balance, resilience, and restoration.

Every season we offer one extended Reiki Infused Yin session, allowing space to slow down, turn inward, and align with the rhythms of nature. Winter invites stillness and deep listening, and this practice is an opportunity to honor that energy in a supportive and intentional way.

Seva’s December Service Project Supporting No Kid Hungry

This December, Seva is proud to support No Kid Hungry in their vital mission to end childhood hunger in America. No Kid Hungry works tirelessly to ensure that every child gets the healthy food they need, three meals a day, 365 days a year, so they can grow up healthy, strong, and ready to thrive.

How you can help:

We will gratefully accept cash donations at the studio all month long. In addition, Seva will donate a portion of all December sales to No Kid Hungry, so every class you take, every purchase you make, helps fuel meals for kids in need.

Why it matters:
In the United States, too many children do not have reliable access to nutritious meals. Supporting No Kid Hungry is a direct way to help ensure no child goes hungry, especially during the holiday season, when a full plate can mean so much.

We hope you’ll join us in generosity this month.

Thank you for being part of our caring community.

Be well and do good work.

New Early Morning Class with
Join Chalise Saunders for Yin Yoga on Friday mornings starting in November. The 60 minute class will begin at 6:30am.

Practicing Yin Yoga in the early morning is a beautiful way to start the day with intention and calm. The slow, meditative pace helps gently awaken the body after sleep, releasing stiffness and improving circulation. Holding postures for longer periods encourages mindfulness and grounding, setting a peaceful tone for the rest of the day. It’s also a time when the mind is naturally quieter, making it easier to connect with your breath and cultivate inner stillness before the demands of the day begin.

October Service Project: Supporting Interfaith Food Alliance

This month, Seva is proud to support the Interfaith Food Alliance (IFA) a local nonprofit in Morrisville, PA working to fight hunger through compassion, education, and advocacy.

IFA unites 14 local faith communities to help families in need through programs like the Family Backpack Center, which provides supplemental food to children and families facing food insecurity. They also advocate for vital programs like SNAP, WIC, and school meals, ensuring that no one in our community is left behind.

Throughout October, Seva will donate a portion of all studio sales to IFA and collect additional donations in-studio to help sustain their life-changing work.

Let’s nourish our neighbors and uplift our community. Every class, every visit, every contribution makes a difference. 💫
