Gentell’s Silicone Super Absorbent dressings offer significantly higher fluid absorption and retention than traditional foam dressings, making them especially effective for heavily exuding wounds. The silicone contact layer helps protect fragile peri-wound skin and allows for gentle, pain-free removal, which patients often notice immediately when switching from foam. Wound care specialists frequently report improved moisture balance and less maceration compared to foam dressings that can become oversaturated. Because silicone super absorbent dressings manage exudate more efficiently, dressing changes are often needed less frequently, saving time for clinicians and improving comfort for patients. Patients commonly describe less discomfort during wear and removal, while clinicians appreciate the consistency and reliability of exudate control. Overall, the switch from foam to silicone super absorbent dressings is often met with positive feedback from both patients and wound care professionals.

Gentell Nutritional Services provides products and supplies to ensure residents receive the essential nutrients their bodies need to repair tissue effectively. https://www.gentell.com/pages/enteral-nutrition

Adequate protein, vitamins, hydration, and calorie intake are critical for collagen formation, immune function, and overall healing—needs that often increase in residents with chronic or complex wounds.
