It was so great to attend tonight’s presentation by the wonderful Hannah Lynch, NP, of tonight. Learned A LOT about TMS that I’m looking forward to sharing with clients.

This conference sang to my clinical. When I first heard Ross Ellenhorn discuss the concept of dignity in risk, I felt like someone had put words to something I had been trying to describe much less adeptly for a long time.
This conference was a celebration of the power of partnering with clients, the mutual learning experience of this work, and the deep privilege it is to connect with clients in their care.

Lots of clients come into our office having gotten the message that the interventions they have already tried “should” be working, or that they’ve tried everything. This conveys the message that there must be something inherently wrong with that person.
It makes it so validating when, maybe through bloodwork or genetic testing, we find that there is an objective, physiological reason why a med has not been a good fit, or why symptoms have continued despite every best effort on the client’s part.

According to , the LGBTQIA+ is more likely to struggle with eating disorders. Additionally, when they do seek help, their eating disorders are generally more severe.

A big part of this is the struggle to feel emotionally safe entering treatment. At Harborside, we provide quality care regardless of gender or sexual orientation. And if you call and we are not the right fit for any reason, we will strive to find the fit for you.
