Gardening as a hobby is well-known to promote relaxation and joy, though it may seem physically intensive at times. “Adaptive Gardening” is the term used to describe a gardening process that accommodates those with physical limitations through use of technique and tools that reduce strain.

If you have limited mobility or someone you know does, this seminar on Friday, February 20th at 1pm will provide tips on making gardening goals possible, no matter the gardener’s stage of life or physical circumstances. With special guests Patty Ericson-Taylor of the Barnstable Disability Commission and Dawn Ericson-Taylor.

To create or care for your own plant projects, be it a vegetable garden, some containers, or a patch of wildflowers, is a life-affirming activity that allows for an invaluable connection with nature, and it’s accessible for anyone! 🌼
