The Cochran School of Nursing is the oldest nursing school in Westchester County and has a long history of preparing excellent nursing clinicians. The school is strongly committed to preparing nurses who are competent to serve the health care needs of our communities. In the beginning of the 21st Century and thereafter, we will see a greater need in the care of elders, for the protection and support of infants, women and children, and for the growing healthcare needs of our diverse communities. Nursing is the one profession that weaves together assessment and caring for all people in the management of their health and illness.

Cochran Caring Hands! Last night some of our students and their families volunteered at the Ronald McDonald house on the campus of Westchester Medical Center to cook a meal for families whose children were at the Maria Ferreri Children’s Hospital. A great way to show care and support to families having a difficult time during a child’s illness while having a small break from studies! A fun time was had by all!
