Across our family of organizations, our amazing occupational therapy teams play an important role in helping the children and young adults we serve build the skills they need for everyday life. Through personalized care and inspired creativity, our OTs support children in developing fine motor skills, improving coordination and gaining greater independence in daily activities.

Their unwavering dedication helps our residents, students and patients to grow, learn and achieve and we are so grateful for the expertise and compassion they bring to our community!

In honor of , we’re sharing moments from ’s most recent wheel art event held this past fall.

As part of this unique therapeutic experience, our children and young adults chose their favorite colors, painted their wheelchair tires and then used movement to transform blank canvases into vibrant works of art.

Each one-of-a-kind piece is a powerful expression of creativity, joy, hopes and dreams - celebrating self-expression through motion and the beauty of individuality!

We had a blast at Murray’s Skating Center this weekend!

Thank you to our friends at the Yonkers Police Department and the Yonkers Fire Department for hosting their 28th Annual Charity Hockey Game in support of !

A special highlight was watching two of our amazing residents, including our International Spokesperson and Volunteer, Stephanie, take center ice to drop the puck at the start of the game.

We’re so grateful to everyone who came out to cheer on these incredible first responders and share their support of our mission!

Construction for our future young adult center is continuing to move along on schedule! The foundation and basement floor have been poured and the structural steel is in progress to now construct the framework for the building itself.

A very special visitor stopped by recently! 🐾

Our children and young adults had the sweetest surprise when an adorable therapy dog named Josie came by with her owner, Leslie, for a pet therapy visit. There were plenty of tail wags, happy smiles and gentle cuddles to go around!

Thank you to The Good Dog Foundation for such a paws-itively wonderful experience!

On Saturday, April 11th, the Yonkers Police Department will face off against Yonkers Firefighters Local 628 in their 28th Annual Charity Hockey Game. 🏒

These dedicated first responders have shown years of devoted support by volunteering at our events, contributing to fundraisers and spreading holiday cheer. We are so grateful for these true heroes and all they do for our community and the children and families we serve.
