The world would be a better place if everyone practiced yoga. Seriously, it would.
Many people have told me:
โOh you teach yoga? I canโt bend like that.โ
โYoga? Thatโs for them woo woo hippies!โ
โIโll look dumb infront of everyone!โ
โMy body is already sore, I canโt.โ
โA one hour class?! I donโt have the time for that.โ
&& many more excuses!
Yoga isnโt about the bending, the class length, or hippies (well, maybe a little bit)โฆ
Itโs about YOU. ๐ซต๐ผ
- Improving YOUR mental and physical health
- Regulating YOUR emotions
- Finding YOUR sense of self & purpose
- Showing up to YOUR mat
The hard truth is - if youโve ever said any of the above excuses, you need yoga the most. ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
Some people live for the excuses, self doubt, and attention. Yoga teaches us to release that and really focus inward. Why are you making excuses? Why do you care if anyone else is looking at you in class (and I promise you, no one is)? Why โcanโtโ YOU do yoga, really?
If those questions made you uncomfortable - grab a mat & come to class!
Get comfortable with the uncomfortable - allow yourself to GROW ๐ฑ
