Little update on Bethany.

Who is Bethany? Here is an up to date profile on Bethany and her experience in the field.

Bethany Peterson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Masters level educator. Bethany has over 20 years of experience in the social service field in various capacities, including 15 years specializing in individual and family treatment. Bethany specializes in Autism Spectrum Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety related Disorders, Depression related disorders, and complex trauma disorders. Bethany also has extensive experience with a range of mental health and co-occurring diagnoses.

Each client is provided an individual assessment and treatment based on their needs and personal goals created together with their clinician. Bethany utilizes EMDR, IFS, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and commitment therapy as her principle modalities based on each individual’s needs.

Bethany currently has openings for day time only. She offers telehealth and in person. Her in office locations are in Limerick, Maine and York, Maine. Hello Everyone!!

It has been a long time since I have given an update. I am pleased to announce that I have moved back to the Waterboro/Limerick area after many years. Due to this, I am now subleasing an office on Tuesdays in Limerick village. I am current accepting Harvard Pilgram, Anthem, CHO, and United Behavioral Health. I will be adding insurances, but this is what I am accepting at this time as I get settled. Many of my openings are bi-weekly, but I do have some limited openings. Does your child struggle with identifying emotions or is just starting to learn how people respond in different situations? Here is a simple activity to try. Just print it out, cut out the emotions at the bottom then sit with your child and discuss each situation. Help your child identify which emotion they would feel in each situation.

Do you have difficulty organizing your day to day tasks or a new healthy habit, like tracking your food? Try this simple solution. Take a notebook and make four different boxes. Each box has a header like the one below. Use those to organize your tasks, thoughts, food (or other category) and reminders. You can even use four post it notes. This will help you get away from over thinking your day and start getting things accomplished.
