Hello! We are so grateful to be welcoming patients back for routine care! Seeing your smiling faces and hearing the sound of laughter has helped us all feel a sense of "normalcy". We thank you for being patient with us and wanting to return!! Our thoughts are with so many Mainers during these difficult times...but we are confident Maine will persevere!

To our patients:

We are very much looking forward to seeing your smiling faces in our office starting May 18th, 2020. We have all been through a lot over the last few months and Maine still has a long journey ahead.

As always, our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We will continue to follow these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. Please know infection control has been and always will be our top priority.

For example:

· Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions over the phone.

· Our team will be screened before starting their work day.

· Please postpone any appointments if symptoms of COVID-19 are present or those who have had potential exposure to COVID-19. Unless, it is a dental emergency.

· Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients.

· We will have you wait in your car and will call you when the room is ready.

· Staff will be wearing appropriate PPE that has been recommended.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for understanding and being patient with us. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

Hello! Amidon Family Dentistry here...anxiously waiting to get back up and running! For those in need and want to be seen for routine cleanings and preventive care, please feel free to check out this petition by the Maine Dental Association. Sadly, preventative care for dentistry in Maine is closed indefinitely. We would love to be able to mirror our neighboring states (New Hampshire & Massachusetts) who are planning to open in Mid-May. States have referred to the American Dental Association to determine protocols and decisions to safely see patients. We are prepared and ready to welcome those patients who want to be seen in our practice! Take care, and looking forward to helping those of you who have been waiting so patiently! :)

Keeping dental practices closed except for emergencies with no clear path forward is needlessly causing harm to patients.

Amidon Family Dentistry has been missing our patients and staff so much! Per the state of Maine, Governor Mills has ordered dentistry to continue to see emergencies ONLY at this time. Please know we are available to answer any concerns that may arise. We are prepared and excited to see you all as soon as we get the green light! The safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. Dentistry has always been ahead of the curve with regards to infection control. Hello! Amidon Family Dentistry has been thinking of all of our patients and staff during these trying times. We are happy to inform you that we plan to re-open for routine dentistry on Monday, May 4th. Please know we are available to answer any concerns that may arise. Hello! Here at Amidon Family Dentistry we hope everyone is staying safe and healthy during these difficult times. Our top priority is the health of our patients, families, staff, and community. Therefore, we are continuing to see patients for emergencies only. Our goal is to re-open for all appointments May 4th, but will continue to update as we move forward. We are so excited to see everyone soon and thank you for being understanding. Remember to stay positive & keep smiling!

Due to difficult times that we are currently facing as a nation and world, we have made the tough decision to decrease our appointments to emergency only for the next TWO weeks (March 20th-April 6th). In the case of an emergency, please don't hesitate to contact our office. We are all in this together, and our office is looking forward to seeing you all very soon! Wash your hands, social distance, and most importantly remember to brush your teeth and keep smiling!
