“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7

It is with greatly mixed emotions that the family of Lizzie Mae Goudelock announces her transitioning sunset with angel wings on Tuesday January 6, 2026, at the young age of 77. Her sunrise was August 16, 1948, in Hickory Grove, SC to her late beloved parents, Paul Davis, Sr. and Marie Logan Davis.

Lizzie graduated from Jefferson High School in York, South Carolina, and she later attended York Technical College.

Lizzie lived life true to her love of people and children. To know her was to be loved by her. She would spend countless hours talking to and teaching the children around her. In her more than 25 years of service at Bright Beginnings CDC, Lizzie made many friends and enhanced the lives of many children. Lizzie was also a foster mother to many children over the years. She had great love for others and did everything she could to assist others.

Her greatest gift, though, was in her discipleship and the many friends and family who came to know Jesus through knowing Lizzie. Lizzie was a Saved, Sanctified, and Holy Ghost Spirit filled Christian. Lizzie was President of the Missionary Board and was the church Secretary for over 30 years. Her family will miss her big presence in their lives but rejoice, knowing she is at peace and resting as the good and faithful servant she was to the church.

In the last 4 years of Lizzie’s life her daughter took on the role as sole caregiver that was a daunting task that was also rewarding. Casandra’s great care of Lizzie was provided with compassion. When Casandra was not available Devante stepped in and helped take care of his grandmother. Lizzie and Casandra’s bond grew greater as she cared for her mother. Casandra made sure Lizzie was well dressed and taken care of by her. There were many hard days and sacrifices made as Casandra took care of Lizzie. They travelled with family to many places that Lizzie enjoyed, where she met many people in her life, who she loved and who will remember her with that same love. She influenced many young people through the daycare time with them. As time went on Lizzie enjoyed food, and dining out became her hobby. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Lizzie and her niece, Dayna Lawson, developed a special mother/daughter relationship. Dayna and Ms. Lizzie worked together through high school basketball, completing homework, and later running the daycare. Ms. Lizzie and Dayna were best friends. The last voice Ms. Lizzie heard was Dayna telling her to go home to Heaven.

She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Paul Davis, Sr.; her mother, Marie L. Davis; her two brothers, Paul Davis, Jr. and Jerry Dean Davis.

Lizzie was an adoring mother to her surviving daughter, Casandra Lavon Goudelock, and her grandson Devante Oshea Thompson; Her sister, the Elder Rev. Dr. Etheleen Lawson; Her brothers, Jerome Davis and Brian Davis. Mrs. Lizzie is also survived by a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Lizzie, affectionately called “Sister,” will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, the many children raised, loved, and comforted at Bright Beginnings Childcare Center, friends, family, and a host of others.

Please join Lizzie’s family in celebrating her life on Sunday, January 11, 2026. A visiting hour will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Life service starting at 2:00 pm at Johns Chapel Fire Baptized Holiness Church of God of the Americas at 2073 Chestnut St, Hickory Grove, SC 29717. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to John’s Chapel FBH Church Missionary Department.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the wonderful NPs, PAs, Social Workers, Nurses, CNAs and Clergy staff at Via Health Partners, the wonderful drivers for TACC and for their compassionate care and fellowship.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 11, 2026 at John's Chapel FBH Church of God in Hickory Grove, SC with Elder Dr. Etheleen D. Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, prior to the service, and other times at the home.

Kimmy O. Crawford stepped onto life’s stage on July 29, 1962, and for the next 63 years, he performed an unforgettable one-man show that left audiences laughing, crying, and feeling deeply loved. The curtain fell on December 31, 2025, but the echoes of his laughter and the warmth of his embrace will live forever in the hearts of all who knew him.

Born to Mitt and Sarah (Owens) Crawford, Kim - as he was lovingly known - was a beautiful puzzle: part philosopher, part comedian, and all heart. If his life were a television show, it would have been The Twilight Zone – unpredictable and absolutely unforgettable. His theme song? Frank Sinatra’s “My Way,” because Kim answered to no one but himself, his wife, Annie, and God. And the world was his dance floor – he would cut a rug whenever and wherever he heard music, turning every moment into a celebration.

Kim found his spiritual home at Galilee Baptist Church at a young age, where faith became the compass that guided his generous spirit. A 1981 graduate of York High School, he served in the Army National Guard beginning in 1982, followed by twenty devoted years of protecting history as a Security Guard at The Smithsonian Institute. But Kim's true calling was simpler: he had a gift for turning every stranger into family, and in his world, strangers simply didn't exist.

Kim was wonderfully complex in ways that made him unforgettable. He could deliver a twenty-minute monologue that defied comprehension yet keep you hanging on ‘til the last sentence. He’d hand you his phone mid-conversation, insisting you talk to someone you’d never met. He’d give you his last dollar, his favorite shirt, the shoes off his feet, and then smile like you’d done him a favor. And he’d give you a piece of his mind, and say “I love you,” before walking away. His passions were simple: football games, baseball, dancing, and most of all, spending time family and friends. Kim didn’t just love people – he loved them loudly, with fierce loyalty and without conditions.

Kim joins in eternal rest his beloved wife, Annie Jordan Crawford; parents, Mitt and Sarah (Owens) Crawford; brothers, Larry Crawford, Harley Crawford, and Michael Crawford; and sisters, Bessie Crawford Hale and Sarah Lee Mobley.

Left to carry forward his extraordinary legacy are his brothers, David Crawford (Lyvette) of Washington, DC, and Barry Cloud of Fort Mill, SC; his sisters, Ayesha Fatima Crawford-Bey of Washington, DC, Mamie Blake (Terry) of Rock Hill, SC, Peggy Smith (Harold) and Elaine Brown both of McConnells, SC; Karen Massalley (Abraham) of Hyattsville, MD, Jarita Crawford of Washington, DC, and his twin sister, Kimily Crawford of York, SC. He also leaves his nephew, whom he helped to raise, Devion Starnes (Magdalena) of Hazelton, PA; his goddaughter, Charlene Heron (Mark) of Silver Springs, MD; his sister-in-love, Francis Deville (John) of York, SC; and countless nephews, nieces, and friends who were touched by his remarkable gift for making everyone feel like they mattered.

Kim never met a stranger, because he refused to believe such a thing existed. He moved through the world like sunlight, warming everything in his path. He had a wicked sense of humor, unshakable faith, and a smile that could disarm the most guarded heart. Kimmy O. Crawford has taken his final bow, but his legacy remains. He showed us all what it means to live fully, love fiercely, and laugh often.

Anna J. McCaw was born on July 25, 1928, in Lancaster, South Carolina, to the late Pearl McGriff and James Jones. She was the fourth child born into a loving family and was nurtured in faith from an early age, joining Mount Nebo A.M.E. Zion Church.

Anna received her early education in Lancaster and graduated from Lancaster Training School, later known as Barr Street High School, an institution established to prepare students for careers in education. With a strong calling to teach, she continued her studies at Clinton Junior College and later transferred to Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina. In 1951, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education.

While at Livingstone College, Anna was an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, and the YWCA. Her yearbook described her as “lively, capable, and full of pep—quite often an artist also.” Her Senior Class voted her as the Most Artistic.

Following college, Anna traveled throughout the United States assisting the Supervisor of the A.M.E. Zion Church. She later began a long and distinguished career in education at J. R. Faison School in Wadesboro, North Carolina. Anna taught third and fourth grade at various schools throughout Anson County for nearly 39 years and was honored as Teacher of the Year. She was deeply dedicated to the children she served, ensuring each student mastered reading and cursive writing before advancing. Teaching was her true passion, and her exceptional handwriting remained beautiful even in her 90s.

On May 17, 1952, Anna married the love of her life, Halbrook McCaw. Together, they built their home in Smyrna, South Carolina, on McGill Road, where they raised their three daughters: Jo Renee, Valerie (Jackie), and Tanya.

A devoted and lifelong “die-hard Zionite,” Anna became a devoted member of Ebenezer A.M.E Zion Church, where she faithfully served in several positions over the years: Sunday School teacher, treasurer, secretary, Special Education Director, Special Conference Worker, WHOMS member. She was deeply involved in Christian Education within the York/Chester District of the A.M.E. Zion Church and was a Deaconess. Her service to the church reflected her unwavering faith and commitment to God. She was also member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

After retirement, Anna enjoyed gardening, canning, working on crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. In 2024, Anna was honored as a member of Livingstone College’s 50-Year Golden Graduate Club, recognizing her lifelong achievements and legacy.

Anna is preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and James Jones; her brothers, James Franklin, Henry and W. C. Jones; and her sister, Annie Neal Shannon. Her dear husband of 65 years, Halbrook McCaw; daughter, Jo Renee Hampton; granddaughter, Hollie Setzer; and a beloved nephew, Derrick Beard.

Anna leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Naomi Jones of Rock Hill, SC; two daughters, Valerie Gill (William) of Parker, CO, and Tanya McCaw of Charlotte, NC; granddaughters, Niki Gill Adams (Justin) of Aurora, CO, and Juanna Thomas (Jabari) of Fairburn, GA; grandsons, Byron Hampton of Smyrna, SC, and Marqui Gill (Tamia) of Parker, CO; an adopted daughter and dear friend, Peggy Wilson of Rock Hill, SC; great grands, S’kayia, Mahoganey, Zahria, McKenzie, Lauryn, Julian, Jeremiah, Alexander, Ava, Brooke, Jaloni, and Josiah; great-great grands, Curtis and Cayden; special nieces, nephews, and cousins, Sonja, Glen, Carolyn, and Keiwanna; special families, the Gill Family and Ebenezer A.M.E. Zion Church Family; and a host of cousins, extended family, dear neighbors, and friends.

Affectionately called “Anna Mae” by her husband, she was known as a woman who was unique, special, classy, and elegant throughout her life. Anna J. McCaw was called home on December 25, 2025—Christmas Day, His birthday—leaving behind a powerful legacy of faith, service, education, and love.
