Schedule your rest before your body schedules it for you...
Burnout rarely happens overnight.
👉 It builds quietly through skipped breaks, constant pressure, and the belief that you just need to push through one more thing.
But your body keeps the score.
Fatigue, brain fog, tension, disrupted sleep, irritability - these are often early signals that your nervous system needs recovery, not more productivity. 🌱
Rest is not a reward.
It’s a requirement for sustainable wellbeing.
Taking time to pause, reset and restore allows your mind and body to function the way they’re meant to.
Consider this your permission to step back, breathe, and give yourself the space to recover.
Your wellbeing deserves to be scheduled too. ✨

As February comes to a close, we’re reminded that growth doesn’t happen all at once, it happens quietly, beneath the surface, through steady care and intention. 🌱
This Earth Month has asked us to move at the pace of the soil: slow, grounded, and deeply rooted. What began as a gentle stirring is now asking to be tended; not rushed, not forced, but honored.
Bayani, the Turtle Medicine Warrior of February, walks with us here, in the in-between. He is the quiet hero of becoming, the one who knows that true growth is revealed over time. He teaches that strength can be soft, and that vision deepens when we allow ourselves to stay with it. 🐢
Guided by Green Aventurine, the stone of heart-led courage and sustainable growth, Bayani reminds us that what you’ve planted this month is already alive. Roots are forming. Direction is taking shape. Even if nothing looks different yet, something has shifted.
As February settles, this Earth Month invites us to:
✨ Anchor the intentions you’ve begun
✨ Trust the slow intelligence of growth
✨ Root vision into the body and daily life
✨ Carry gentle courage forward
February doesn’t end with a finish line.
It ends with foundations.
With quiet confidence.
With roots holding.
Carry Bayani’s medicine with you as you move forward; tending what has begun, listening for what’s next, and honoring the slow magic of becoming. 💚

Over the past several years, we’ve shifted our focus from traditional goal setting to something more foundational: energy capacity.
What we see most often in leaders and organizations isn’t a lack of ambition, it’s depletion. People are capable, committed, and still running on empty.
That’s why our annual vision board workshop has evolved into Mapping Your Energy for the Year- an interactive, element-based experience designed to help participants explore growth, rest, action, and clarity through the lens of energetic sustainability rather than productivity pressure.
Participants move through:
- a wood space for grounded growth
- a water space to reconnect with reserves
- a candle moment to choose actions that energize
- a structured clarity practice to identify and release what quietly drains
The experience is reflective, practical, and capacity-centered.
If you’re local to York, PA, you’re invited to join us in person on February 19, 22, or 27 for this community-centered, family-friendly gathering. Register here: https://lnkd.in/eCtYpsjn
If you’re not local, we’re also releasing a guided version for our Rooted Yellow Court Wellness Members on February 19. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/ewMUmP6W
This is an invitation to plan the year with alignment, sustainability, and capacity; not just ambition. 💚

Meet Bayani, our Turtle Medicine Warrior of February. 🐢🌱
Known as the quiet hero of becoming, Bayani invites us to grow with courage, patience, and heart-led intention. He reminds us that growth doesn’t need to be loud to be powerful, sometimes it begins with simply saying yes to the next right step.
This month’s crystal, green aventurine, mirrors Bayani’s energy, supporting new beginnings, gentle confidence, and rooted expansion. A stone for moving forward softly, guided by inner knowing rather than force.
Explore February’s energy and connect with Bayani inside the HRart Institute, our free online community for reflection, growth, and energy care. Link in bio. 💚

It’s not your everyday HR team, but Leadership Arts Associates is redefining what it takes to foster new energy in the workplace
Samm Smeltzer and MaryRose Ritter worked in traditional human resource jobs in York and kept finding the same issue: a gray approach to the job with employees who get upset when the HR rep comes around.
Samm felt stuck, but one day her husband suggested, “Think about what it would be like to do it on your own.” She leapt with the advice and started Leadership Arts Associates in 2014.
She created the business to fill a gap in the city, to break the status quo and show other businesses there’s another way of doing human resources.
“I just kept having this feeling like there was something more,” Samm says. “It’s amazing the skills and talents we have locally, but there’s also this untapped potential.”
Leadership Arts Associates takes a more colorful route to helping businesses. It’s more than the boldly colored North George Street office.
MaryRose is the more traditional of the pair, but there’s nothing cookie-cutter about her work. Each plan is tailored to the individual. She enjoys doing the little things – like attending company functions, even though she’s not required – to achieve success.
“It’s not you and I, it’s we,” MaryRose says. “I want to become an arm of their employees and become part of their group and culture. I’m not just showing up when things are bad.”
Samm takes a holistic and modern approach to her work, specializing in leadership development through workshops and coaching. Sometimes, she says, it’s simply guiding leaders to best attack stress with everything from yoga and reiki – a Japanese healing technique – that they do in-house.
“Even 15 minutes of allowing someone to just chill out and take stock of what’s happening is helpful,” Samm says. “We want to help people reach their potential.”
