Looking for a practice that lifts your mood and your energy?

Laugh-Along Qigong is a light-hearted, feel-good class that blends the gentle movements of Qigong with the playful spirit of Laughter Yoga. Designed for people who enjoy moving, smiling, and not taking themselves too seriously, this class helps boost endorphins, serotonin, and overall well-being — without any need to "perform" or get it perfect.

Led by Tammy, a certified Laughter Yoga leader and Qigong 4 Well-Being teacher, this session draws from ancient wisdom and modern science: movement + breath + laughter = medicine.

Sattva means purity, clarity, and truth. It also means: A place to return to when you're tired of pushing. A space where movement slows, breath deepens, and laughter is part of the practice.

This November, we’re offering space for those who need it.
Upcoming offerings:

🌀 Yin Yoga: Saturday, Nov 8 at 9:30am. A deeply restful class using long-held floor postures to release tension in the hips, legs, and spine. Great for those feeling stiff, fatigued, or mentally overloaded. No prior experience needed. (Register here: https://gymcatch.com/app/provider/6354/events/7513609)

🌿 Qigong Meditation: Sunday, Nov 9 at 11am. A slow-moving practice that blends breathwork, standing movement, and stillness to calm the nervous system and center the mind. Perfect if you’re feeling scattered, anxious, or low-energy. (Register here: https://gymcatch.com/app/provider/6354/events/7566924)

😄 Laugh-Along Qigong: Saturday, Nov 15 at 10am. A playful, energizing class that combines traditional qigong movements with light-hearted breathing and laughter exercises. (Register here: https://gymcatch.com/app/provider/6354/events/7064510)

If you’re looking for a shift—mental, physical, or otherwise—these practices are here for you.

This is your invitation to pause, breathe, and turn gently inward. To feel what it’s like to just be held by the mat, by your breath, by your own quiet presence.

Join Megan Grandinetti for a Yin Yoga class next Saturday, November 8th, at 9:30am designed to help you slow down, soften, and rest in your body, and in yourself.

“Let the thoughts come and go, but do not run after them.” – Sri HWL Poonja

Join Megan Grandinetti for a quiet, 30-minute meditation practice.

This is not about stopping your thoughts. It's about not following them. Whether we sit in breath, mantra, or gentle silence, the aim is to return to what’s already steady inside you.

No experience needed. Just bring your body and your breath this Saturday, November 1 from 9:00–9:30 AM. Come as you are. Leave a little more clear.

A message from Tammy and from our blood cells that our mood impacts our wellness. Qigong is a great way to boost your mood AND your immunity.

In Israel, scientists conducted a remarkable study. A single drop of a participant’s blood was placed under a microscope and projected on a screen. What they saw was captivating: bacteria slowly moving around… and macrophages — the “clean-up crew” of the blood — just lying dormant.

The bacteria were wandering freely, as if on a peaceful evening stroll. The macrophages? Fast asleep, ignoring their job entirely.

Then something unexpected happened. The participant was shown a funny movie — and as their mood lifted, the macrophages suddenly “woke up.” One of them rolled over to a nearby bacterium and started devouring it with real enthusiasm.

This wasn’t lunch time. This was science.

🧠 Our mood directly influences our immune cells.

Here’s the twist: the blood sample had been separated from the participant and was in a different room. Somehow, the change in the participant’s emotional state affected the blood at a distance.

When researchers switched to horror film clips, the opposite happened. The bacteria became energized, multiplied rapidly, and even started attacking the macrophages, forcing them to retreat.

👉 The state of our consciousness plays a critical role in maintaining our inner ecosystem.

And it doesn’t stop with us. Since our relatives share our bloodline, our emotional states can influence their immune systems too — even across continents. This is what some call “family immunity.”

A watchmaker once shared a story: whenever his left index finger would start twitching — making his delicate work impossible — he wouldn’t massage it or take supplements. He’d call his mother, thousands of kilometers away, and say:

“Mom, you’re worrying again! Stop it — I can’t work like this!”

Even mild maternal anxiety was enough to affect his physiology.

🌿 The takeaway:
The old saying “It’s my life, I’ll do what I want” is outdated. Our mental state impacts not just our health, but the well-being of those we love.

So, find ways to cultivate joy, laughter, and inner harmony — not just for yourself, but for your entire “immune tribe.”

PS: This reminds us of Norman Cousins, who famously healed from a terminal illness through laughter. His story, told in “Anatomy of an Illness” (1976), showed that positive emotions can activate the body’s healing systems. Turns out, “Laughter is the best medicine” isn’t just a saying — it’s physiology.
