Sensory bins can be so beneficial to a child's development! Sensory bins:

🌱Increase cognitive development: through cause-and-effect, manipulation of textures and objects, and encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
🌱Encourage speech development: sensory bins are a multi-sensory experience that activate the brains pathways for communication - this leads to more opportunities for memory activation to recall and apply speech skills.
🌱Enhances fine motor skills: Through pouring, scooping, digging and manipulation of variety of objects.

Sensory bins also support sensory processing, emotional regulation skills and social skills. It invites a child to use their imagination and expand creativity skills; and it's just fun!
