A**l Gland Tumors in Dogs – Early Detection Matters

A**l gland tumors can be difficult to detect without imaging, as they often don’t show obvious signs at first. At Yorkville Imaging (inside Yorkville Animal Hospital), we can identify these tumors early using ultrasound.

📌 Signs to watch for:
-Straining to defecate
-Swelling near the re**um
-Changes in appetite or behavior

If found early, treatment options like surgery, medication, or monitoring can help improve outcomes.

If you have any concerns, please call to schedule an appointment at 630-882-6060

🐾 Adrenomegaly in Dogs & Cats: What You Need to Know 🐾

An ultrasound can help diagnose adrenomegaly (enlarged adrenal glands) in your pet. This condition can be caused by adrenal tumors, hormonal imbalances (such as Cushing's disease), or other underlying health issues.

Signs to watch for:
Increased thirst or urination
Changes in appetite or weight
Abnormal hair loss or thinning coat
Lethargy or weakness

At Yorkville Imaging inside Yorkville Animal Hospital, we use advanced ultrasound technology to accurately diagnose the cause of adrenomegaly and guide your pet’s treatment plan.
Call 630-882-6060 or 630-777-4570 to schedule your pet’s ultrasound today!

Suspected Pancreatic Tumor Found on Ultrasound
During an ultrasound exam, our team discovered a suspected pancreatic tumor in one of our patients. Pancreatic tumors in dogs are rare but often serious and require timely diagnosis and care.
Why Ultrasound Matters:
Ultrasound helps us detect abnormalities that can’t be seen through bloodwork alone — giving us a clearer picture of what’s going on internally.

Next Steps May Include:
🔹 Advanced imaging (CT/MRI)
🔹 Biopsy or aspirate
🔹 Surgical evaluation
🔹 Supportive care and monitoring

If your pet shows signs like vomiting, weight loss, abdominal pain, or decreased appetite, don’t wait — early detection can make a big difference.
