Season of Hope 🎁

Our friends from the Teddy Foltz Committee have graciously chosen to organize a holiday donation drive benefiting Sojourner House. We extend our sincere gratitude to the participating bars :The Rod, Papa’s Sports Bar, West Side Pub, AMVETS Post 44, The Civics, American Legion Post 472, and The Petrie Club ,for opening their doors and serving as donation drop-off locations.

We simply could not do the work we do without the compassion and continued support of our community. We are deeply grateful not only during the holiday season, but throughout the entire year.

The Patrol is proud to be part of Ohio’s Blue Envelope Program, a statewide initiative designed to support individuals with developmental disabilities during traffic stops and emergency situations by enhancing communication and reducing anxiety.

Participants carry a blue envelope containing key documents and information about their condition. This allows troopers to quickly understand how to best interact with the community member.

Each packet includes:
🔹 A blue envelope for documents and accommodation notes
🔹 A car decal to alert first responders
🔹 A program overview brochure

These envelopes are available for free through your local County Board of Developmental Disabilities.

🦋 October May Be Over, But Awareness Should Never End 🦋

As we close out Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we want to thank everyone who participated in this year's campaign, especially those who took the time to color a butterfly in honor of survivors and victims. 💜

Your beautiful artwork has not only brought color to our spaces but also sparked meaningful conversations and reflection. Please scroll down to see some of the amazing butterflies we received throughout the month. 🎨👇

While butterflies are often used as a symbol in DVAM, it's important to remember: just like the ones you see below, no two butterflies are exactly alike. Each has its own unique pattern, color, and story, much like survivors of domestic violence.

Under the umbrella of domestic violence, there is no one-size-fits-all experience. Every case, every voice, every journey is different. That’s why it’s so vital that we not only continue to raise awareness beyond October, but that we also truly listen and honor each individual story with compassion and support.

Let’s keep the conversation going. Let’s continue to believe survivors, support healing, and work toward prevention, not just this month, but every day of the year.
