Sojourner House is honored to be the recipient of donations collected at Wonder Woman Wednesday, hosted by Inspiring Minds Youngstown in celebration of Women’s History Month.

📅March 11, 2026 | 4:00–5:30 PM at the Poland Library for an inspiring panel of powerful women sharing stories of growth, success, and perseverance.

💜Donations collected will directly support survivors and families served by Sojourner House Domestic Violence Program.

We are deeply thankful for the continued community support and partnership that helps us provide safety, resources, and hope to those impacted by domestic violence.

We’re excited to share an upcoming community favorite, the Poland Rotary Chili Open! 🌶️🔥

Hosted by the amazing members of the Poland Rotary Club, this event is always a fantastic time filled with great food, fun games, raffles, and plenty of community spirit. From delicious chili to raffles, co****le, putting games, and more! It’s a day packed with laughter and connection (just remember to dress warm!).

The Poland Rotary Club has always been a tremendous supporter of Sojourner House, and we are so grateful for their continued generosity and commitment to making a difference in our community. Their heart for service truly shows in events like this.

A 5-year-old with a huge heart 💛

After hearing about the CCA Warming Center on HOT 101, Angelo decided he needed to help people staying warm and safe this winter. His mom made a flyer, and Angelo shared it with friends and family — and the response was incredible.

Last week, Angelo brought in a huge donation of items sent in by friends and family from all over the U.S. 🧤🧦🧼

As a special thank you for his thoughtfulness, our friends at Youngstown State Men's Basketball have invited Angelo to the Men’s Basketball game this weekend!

Magellan is officially coming out of hibernation and he’s not listening to that pesky groundhog one bit! 🐻❄️➡️❤️

He decided he had to wake up early so he could be here in time for Valentine’s Day, spreading love and bringing connection to our COMPASS team. From handmade cards to thoughtful moments, Magellan is all about reminding us that connection matters.

That said, love and connection are most powerful when they’re healthy. Relationships should support us, lift us up, and help us grow. When we care for ourselves and each other, real connection can do amazing things.

💌 Stay tuned to see how Magellan chooses to engage with staff this Valentine’s Day… we have a feeling his plans are pretty heart-warming!

What a fun Friday! We had a Super Bowl Dress Down - employees at COMPASS & CCA wore their favorite football spirit gear - NFL, college, and high school colors showed up for the fun. If you are watching the Big Game on Sunday, have fun and stay safe & warm.
