When it comes to holiday partying, we sure are pros around here; we even have our very own Santa!! Thank you so much to our Business Office Manager, Joel, his wonderful wife, Renee, and their grandson, Cayden, for coming in as Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Santa’s elf. The joy they brought to all of us is evident in these pictures. Thank you also to the Dixie Dandies for yet another fantastic show! And, thank you to our wonderful angel who donated all of the beautiful blankets to our residents!

Our Christmas Spirit Week continues with the theme of “Santa Style” today. We’re all dressed in our red and white and are enjoying all kinds of wonderful music all day long. A huge thank you to Sara, Lyndsay, and the Harmony Hospice team for doing a hot chocolate bar and sing-a-long with us this morning! Thank you also to Jack Ciarnello and friends for caroling for us this afternoon- what a delightful group of young folks! We’re so appreciate of all of the wonderful people in our communities taking the time to stop by and bring us some Christmas Cheer!

Well, Canfield Christmas Lights have outdone themselves once again! If you haven’t had the chance to see any of the wonderful displays yet, we highly recommend it. You can find all of the participating houses on Facebook on the Canfield Christmas Lights LLC page. Thank you to all of those have put so much time and effort into these gorgeous displays; we all sure enjoyed seeing them!

Our annual Christmas Spirit Week is off to great start with lots of fun daily themes and activities. Thank you to Mona from First Light Home Care for bringing such a cute craft for us on Monday and to Davis & Henner for their phenomenal entertainment for our “Feelin’ Frosty” party this afternoon! We all dressed in snowflakes, whites, and blues today, and our activity girls made adorable snowman sundaes for our afternoon party. If you’re visiting tomorrow, you’ll see all of us in green for Mr. Grinch Day. Thursday is “Santa Style,” and our week will round up with “Sweater Weather” on Friday. If you want to dress to the theme for your visit, stop by our activity office for a sweet Christmas treat as a “thank you” for doing so.

A very happy and blessed Thanksgiving to all of you from our staff and residents! We have so much to be thankful for in this wonderful country! Today, we enjoyed delicious pumpkin pie and beautiful piano music from Jack Ciarnello. We are very appreciative of this and of the fact that our kitchen staff has been working so hard on preparing yet another wonderful Thanksgiving meal for all of us to enjoy tomorrow. We hope you are also having a fantastic holiday!

It was our honor and pleasure to be able to once again host our local legend, Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini, yesterday and hear more about his life and his career. Thank you to the ladies of Pleasant Valley Church for setting up this event and to everyone who attended. Most of all, thank you to Ray and his wonderful wife, Tina, for their willingness to invest their time and expertise in the lives of everyone at Victoria House and our extended friends and families.
