Our color week has continued with Wednesday’s activities being focused on the color green and Thursday’s focus being the color purple. We enjoyed green sundaes with entertainment from Memory Lane Radio and a game our residents have named “green hoops” along with many other activities. Thursday, Trisha led us in a conversation about color and moods and our teams battled it out in a Purple Price is Right game. We’ll end the week Friday with a classy black and white theme with casino style games and White Russians at Happy Hour if you’re stopping by.

Our annual color week is off to a great start with lots of fun and vibrant activities on both red and blue day! Thank you to Karsyn and Brookfield for the blue chip nachos topped with blue sour cream today for our blue party and to our entertainer, Jim Balluck, who came dressed in blue to add to the fun! A message from Danielle Russo.

As the Executive Director, I enjoyed playing Cupid today... from the shopping to the art of putting each one together myself (anyone who knows me I do not have much patience with arts/crafts and making things look pretty) I had so much fun ... I enjoyed spreading love, hugs, and valentines to my wonderful staff who work so very hard each day!

We’re getting in the Valentine’s Day spirit around here! In doing so, we’d love to ask everyone visiting to help us pour out love onto our residents this season. While it’s a wonderful holiday for so many, it’s also a very difficult one for many others…especially those in our facilities as most are not here with their spouses or significant others. Please be mindful of this and help us spread hugs, compassion, and comfort to those we care so much about in all of our communities!

Patricia "Trish" Anderson was nominated and selected as the employee of the month for January at Victoria House Assisted Living. Trish is a full time housekeeper and has been with Victoria House for 3 months. Trish is customer service driven and from her first day, she worked hard to get to know each resident and learn what their expectations were as their housekeeper in "their" home. Trish is kind, compassionate and goes out of were way to welcome new residents, families, and staff to the facility. Trish has proven to be dependable and from the moment she clocks in she hits the floor running ensuring her work gets done and meets the residents needs and requests. Congratulations Trish on the well deserved honor.
