Fig-picking date with my honey 🥰

Figs, commonly known as Anjeer are the fruit of the ficus tree, a part of the mulberry family. Figs are a natural source of sugar, soluble fibre, and lots of minerals.

The one mineral which is very important for all of us and mostly growing women is Iron. Figs both fresh and dry are an excellent source of iron. Figs are a powerhouse of nutrients like potassium, calcium, magnesium, copper, antioxidants like vitamin A and Vitamin L which can contribute to overall health and wellness.

Both fresh and dried figs are tasty and contain lots of nutrients. There are some differences, however.

The main difference is that dried figs are much higher in sugar and calories, because the sugar gets condensed when fruit dries. However, they also provide more fibre and minerals than fresh figs.

Fresh figs, on the other hand, are lower in calories and sugar and provide more vitamin C and vitamin A.

Additional Health Benefits of Figs

✅ Anti-cancer properties
✅ Aids in Maintaining Blood Sugar Levels
✅ Anti-Inflammatory in Nature and Aids with Arthritis
✅ Helps with Cardiovascular Health
✅ Helps with Male Infertility and Boosts S***m Count
✅ Encourages Good Digestive Health
✅ Promotes Weight Loss

This morning, dad and I picked blueberries from my grandmother’s blueberry bushes in the front yard.

Blueberries, which are indigenous to North American and have existed for more than 13,000 years, are packed with powerful antioxidants and nutrients such as manganese, Vitamin K, Vitamin C, potassium, fiber, iron, and calcium.

This powerful fruit has so many amazing health benefits. It can help protect bone and joint health, reduce inflammation, relieve symptoms of depression, lower blood pressure, improve insulin sensitivity, and improve memory and cognitive function therefore decreasing the onset of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Eat up!

Listening to Yellow Claw’s “DJ Turn It Up” on this Monday morning while doing a short circuit on my back patio.

The reverse lunge to bicep curl and shoulder press is a great compound exercise that can also help to improve your overall balance.

Try 2-3 sets of 4-6 reps per side (don’t forget to alternate legs). 💪🏽
