Paul Pace from Food Services at Chelsea Hospital was nominated by a grateful patient who shared, “Paul was such a delight to me. He always delivered my food tray with a big smile and a cheery tone. I’ll never forget how he sang Happy Birthday to me on my birthday. His voice is superb!”

Kerri Naebeck, a Patient Care Technician at Trinity Health Ann Arbor, was also recognized for her compassion and kindness. Her dedication to our patients truly makes a difference every single day.

Big news out of Trinity Health Ann Arbor! We’re investing $60.5 million to renovate and expand our Emergency Department, a major step forward in serving Washtenaw County and surrounding communities.

Hospital President Alonzo T. Lewis shared:

“As a recognized leader and trusted health care partner, our hospital is committed to responding to the voices of our patients, colleagues, and the communities we serve. Recently, that feedback has been clear: upgrade our Emergency Department to ensure an appropriate care environment to match the increasing complexity and evolving needs of those who entrust us with their care.”

Construction begins this month and wraps up in late 2028, and we’ll remain fully operational throughout!

As Michigan braces for changes to Medicaid funding, Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Congresswoman Rep. Debbie Dingell held a roundtable discussion with Trinity Health Ann Arbor leaders, physicians, community health workers, and the courageous mom of a NICU baby. The mom shared how SNAP and Medicaid health coverage are lifelines for families, especially those navigating complex medical journeys. This support has helped her family stay healthy and hopeful. Doctors expressed concerns about the impact potential Medicaid and Medicare funding reductions could have on patient services and hospitals’ ability to provide care. To help the patients we serve navigate the changes, Trinity Health is launching the No Wrong Door initiative, designed to help retain medical coverage and avoid lapses. Because access to health care isn’t just good policy—it’s good for all of us.

In 2003, Trinity Health MI installed five-foot-tall chimes featuring engraved nameplates offering a gentle, lasting tribute to loved ones across its campuses in Southeast Michigan. With the chimes showing some signs of aging, they underwent a full refurbishment over the summer and are gently ringing once again across our campuses.
