DAILY TIP: Stand Up.
Researchers at the Mayo Clinic found that lean people spend 2 more hours per day on their feet than overweight people. Participants in the study who stood, paced, and fidgeted burned as many as 350 extra calories a day and were much leaner than those who didn’t move as much. Get up from your desk at work, talk on the phone while standing, and stay on your feet in waiting rooms—the simplest effort will yield an extra calorie burn that may help you shed those remaining pounds.

Listen to music you love when you have the urge to binge. Music activates the same “feel good” centers in the brain that eating your favorite foods does. Add some movement to your music and you’ll burn calories too. (And drink water)

Eat a low glycemic breakfast every day, and enjoy it within the first hour of rising. Eating breakfast first thing in the morning will start your metabolism for the day, give you energy, clear your brain and you’ll be less hungry at lunch.

Never go to the grocery store without a list accompanying you. People who make a list and stick to it are less likely to buy items that they don’t need. They also save money!

DAILY TIP: Be a Home Body.
Constantly eating out makes it easy to over eat and over indulge. Stay in control by fixing your own meal; that way you know you have the proper portions and the preparation is healthy too. For example: some restaurants soak their veggies in sugar water before steaming…yuck!
