Happy ! We love sharing the good things growing in our community! Our partners at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church are starting a Garden Club, meeting the first Monday of each month. It’s a beautiful opportunity to learn more about gardening, meet new people, connect with others, and enjoy some fresh air.

Double the fun today! Join us for not one, but TWO cooking demos HAPPENING TODAY!!!

First stop: Yuba County Library, starting in about an hour at 1PM, we’ll be whipping up a delicious carrot soup (perfect for a rainy day!)

Second stop: Sutter County Library at 5:30 PM enjoy a delicious and nutritious beet hummus (a heart-healthy demo in honor of Valentine’s Month) plus a special taste of Okinawa tea from Japan!

Bring your appetite, curiosity, and love for healthy, tasty foods. See you there!

to the Seed Starting Workshop & Community Swap at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church earlier this month. One of our amazing Blue Zones volunteers and walkers, Sandra, joined in on the fun and had such a wonderful experience in the garden. She even went home with cucumber seeds and garden greens! 🥒💙 Her daughter later made a delicious dinner using the cabbage straight from the garden. Can you say YUM!!! This makes our Blue Zones hearts so happy to see! Learning, growing, sharing, and gathering around the table. Keep it coming!!!

Something beautiful is growing at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, and we couldn't be more excited to see faith, fresh air, and fellowship come together all in one space!! God in the Garden is kicking off next Monday February 23rd for children ages 0-5.

This garden has been such a beautiful collaboration of community coming together, and Blue Zones Project was proud to play a role in helping bring it to life. Seeing it now being used as a place for gathering, reflection, and connection is exactly what community is all about. Spaces like this remind us that well-being isn’t just about diet and exercise, it’s about belonging as well!

Happy rainy Monday! 🌧️ We’re still thinking about the amazing night we had Friday at the 40th Annual Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce Gala. While we didn’t take home the Community Champion Award, it was such an honor to be nominated alongside so many incredible organizations! A huge congratulations to Tri-Counties Community Center for receiving this award, truly well deserved! 👏💙

At Blue Zones Project, we’re committed to helping our community live better, longer, and that starts with honest conversations about what impacts our health. So let’s talk about what’s really inside disposable vapes!

Today we’re sharing a powerful Letter to the Editor written by a public health student at California State University, Chico, along with educational information about something many people don’t realize: disposable vapes can release toxic metals into the vapors users breathe in. And this matters, especially for our youth! Developing brains and bodies are more vulnerable to harmful substances.

We’re not here to shame.
We’re here to inform.
Because knowledge is power, and protecting our kids is worth the conversation.
