🚑 World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims 🚧

Today, we pause to honor those who have lost their lives or been seriously injured on our roads — and to recognize the families, first responders, and communities forever changed by these tragedies.

At Bi-County Ambulance, we respond to roadway incidents every day. We see firsthand how every decision — wearing a seatbelt, slowing down, putting the phone away — can make a life-saving difference.

This World Day of Remembrance, we reaffirm our commitment to road safety and to the prevention of traffic-related injuries and deaths in our community. Together, we can make every trip a safe one. đź’›

NOW STREAMING: “In the Tank with Fish” with Bi-County Ambulance CEO Alex Bumpus

Bi-County Ambulance (BCA) CEO, Alex Bumpus, recently joined host Bob Fischetti on In the Tank with Fish to reflect on leadership, teamwork, and the unique journey of Bi-County Ambulance.

“It was an honor joining Bob to share the story behind Bi-County Ambulance — the people, the challenges, and the heart that drives our work every day. Thanks for having me, Bob!” — Alex Bumpus

Alex reflects on our roots as a family-run business founded in 1976 — built on trust, compassion, and a deep connection to the Yuba-Sutter community. Nearly five decades later, as we prepare to celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2026, those same values continue to guide everything we do.

đźš‘ Bi-County Ambulance at the Yuba County Be Prepared Fair!

The BCA team had a great time connecting with the community at this year’s Yuba County Be Prepared Fair — sharing safety tips, showing residents our ambulances up close, and joining fellow first responders in helping families learn how to prepare for emergencies.

A big thank you to Yuba County OES, the Linda Fire Department, and all the agencies and organizations who made this event possible. We’re proud to serve our community and help keep Yuba and Sutter Counties safe and prepared. 💙

Team Member Spotlight: Ian Huntley

This month, we’re proud to recognize Paramedic Ian Huntley! Ian began his journey with Bi-County Ambulance back in April 2002, starting as an EMT and dedicating himself to serving our community for over two decades.
In November 2005, Ian took the next big step in his career — earning his Paramedic certification and continuing his commitment to providing the highest level of prehospital care.

A lifelong resident of Yuba and Sutter Counties, Ian has spent his 23-year career helping his neighbors and making a difference where it matters most. His dedication, experience, and steady professionalism make him a valued part of the BCA family.

Please join us in congratulating Ian on his incredible service and recent achievement!

🧠🚑 World Mental Health Day — October 10

At Bi-County Ambulance, we recognize that mental health matters just as much as physical health. Today and every day, we stand with our team, our patients, and our community in honoring the strength it takes to speak up, reach out, and support one another.

Behind the uniform are real people carrying the weight of tough calls, long shifts, and emotional strain. On this World Mental Health Day, we pause to reflect on the mental and emotional well-being of our EMS personnel, and we encourage our team—and our community—to check in, decompress, and lean on each other.

If you or someone you know is struggling, you are not alone. Asking for help is a sign of strength. đź’š
