As a senior female, I have spoken to numerous single females over 50 who are at risk for homelessness simply due to the rapid and continuing increase in rents. I have a new project! Actually, it's not new, it's been in my head for oh, maybe 15 years, but I have, in the last month or so, been actively dragging it out into the light. Crone Domes at Holly Acres.

The Golden Girls idea has long fascinated me but, being an extroverted introvert, I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY understand and ascribe to the even more important idea of personal space for alone time and simply a bedroom within a house is not enough.

As those who know me already know, I have some undeveloped land in Joshua Tree that I've been thinking about pretty constantly trying to figure out the ideal use for it. Over the last month and several short conversations with single "women of a certain age" who do not own their homes, are retired on social security, and struggling with ever increasing rents, the light bulb came on. Herewith a photo of my idea which I hope to flesh out in the near future. To be continued...
