Winterfest felt extra wintery this year. People braved the cold, misty weather to celebrate the season with us. We made ornaments and reindeer food. Listened to carolers. Frolicked in faux snow. Took horse-drawn carriages around the community. And collected donations for Micah's Place. We also waited in line to visit with the most popular guest (one guess who that was). 🎅🏻🤶🏻

Wildlight is known for being a “Town in Nature.” But what does that really mean? Is Wildlight truly surrounded by 1,200 acres of preserved land? Is it normal to see wildlife right in your backyard? Should you document those encounters? The short and simple answer to all of these questions is “yes.” Fortunately, Wildlight offers residents environmental sessions called “BioBlitzes" in partnership with UF/IFAS.
